She felt a pang in the pit of her stomach at the thought of Quentyn's family suffering but that answered one question, at least. She gave up the thought for now. "Your people might have welcomed hostages," she said mildly. "But it hardly matters now. At least you aren't so likely to face danger from the Ironborn on your journey north. Hornvale is not so far from Lannisport. I know my father will want to reward you for your kindness to me."

"Rather have'em buried," Olyvar says firmly. "We make them extinct once and we don't have to worry about them again." He thinks a moment. "I guess I can stop at Hornvale."

She wisely dropped the subject of the Ironborn. "A warm bed and a good meal is the least I owe you," she said. "If the gods are good I might be able to thank you more appropriately, one day. In the meantime, this is all I have to offer."

"Sounds better than what we have," Olyvar says. "Particularly the food. Let's go, then." They head to Hornvale, unless Morgan wants to stop at some spot in Lannisport.
