"I have no kin" Uhtred spat out "I have no people, no blood ties, nothing to connect me to you people anymore." He glares up at the man "Whatever pride the ironborn may have had is gone with this."

As he's being led away Uhtred shouts back at the King "Damned man! There is no Drowned God, but still a Hell awaits you where you will burn for a thousand thousand years, and you will scream as they suck the marrow from your bones!"

They are led down the street to the dungeons, the insane and not well loved Amelia among them. About a half mile from the palatial estate, about fifty men, black as teak, move out from the streets, crossbows pointed at the Ironborn guards. Hangran Saim looks annoyed. "Looking like an early retirement for me this year," he said. He looks at Amelia. "But I be wanting the lady for severance pay." The guards look utterly confused.

The discovered book was brought to Princess Tristessa to translate a copy into Common. The original would then be sent to Vhagus as a gift and sign of good faith.

Amelia had not been looking forward to the dungeons and so when their saviour came she couldn't help but smile. "How unfortunate that we have to part ways," She said to the guards, strutting over to Saim."

Uhtred follows. He didn't know who he was anymore without his fleet, but damned if he was going to just die to a executioners axe. "Saim... thank you."

"May as well take the Uhtred person, too," he said. "Sellsails know when the seasons are changin'. Drowning the dark skinned men does not make the Saim comfortable in his skin." His men head to the docks, where their galleon fleet sits.

Uhtred will flex his hands as they go to the ships, the blood flowing back into them. He looks over the city as he leaves it, eyes narrowed. He never wanted to see this place again.

The fleet leaves. Fighting them at this point would be foolish, but as Euric watches them go, teeth gritted, he opens a letter and smiles. The bastard admiral had only had three months, after all. And he could always die later. He scrawls a response to it and a bird starts its flight that same hour.

/// Killion visits his wife in their chambers (which had for some reason been used to hold court in his absence) with the caged pair of wyrvens in hand.

Tessa is seated on a balcony, her belly bulging just a little bit. "Killion!" she said happily. "You..." she arches her head to the side, "found some wyverns, now? How thoughtful." She pecks him on the lips. "I have a present for you too."

"Aye, a mated pair at that." he replied, setting the cage upon a nearby table. "Try to keep them from tearing the island to shreds."
"A present for me?" he inquired, with a warm smile at the curve of her stomach, placing his hands tenderly at her hips. "Besides the one growing in your belly?"

She looked down. "That thing is a blasted curse. A dragon and kraken and the roiling gut-churning power of both together," she said. "Like seasicknesses all jumbled up." She smiled again and whispered something into his ear.
