The markets of the great city of Lys
///////////
Before the fleet leaves, Uhtred goes to the auction houses that favor the rich to look for items of interest that he could purchase. He was particularly interested in Valyrian steel, as unlike westeros these sort of items might appear in market.

Plenty of daggers and arrows are for sale. No great axes, the Valyrians not being prone to the giant and bulky weapons, preferring swords, in general. Without their dragons, a typical Valyrian was sort of a pussy.

Uhtred considered his options, then looked at the daggers. Might as well get something nice. He asks the merchants if there was someone who could etch a engraving on the steel, or at least reshape it for him.

It's possible though difficult. Most smiths who have the skill are in Norvos or Old Volantis.

Uhtred will keep that in mind then. He'll leave the markets without starting negotiations for a serious amount of sales, though he will get a valyrian steel dagger for now.

It costs a lot, but it does look sorta cool.
