The Iron Fleet sailed north after Lord Redwyne along with Admiral Saim's forces, wary of trap or ambush. They sent the light fast corsairs out ahead in a wide net to locate the Arbor Fleet, knowing they would outpace the slower galleons. Redwyne had sacrificed his mobility.

Mobility had been sacrificed, and the corsairs of the Iron Fleet nip at the admiral's heels, but twice they get too close, and without the support of their own capital ships several are sunk. Eventually Prince Killion gets word that the fleet of galleons has split up, a third or so heading to Lannisport, and the remainder continuing north.

Killion entrusted half of the corsairs and half the galleys to Tanis Codd, knowing the man was a scout without peer and would put the light ships to good use. He instructed him to tail the fleet heading for the Iron Islands, continuing to nip at their heels and pick off any stragglers like wolves; so that Redwyne would still assume his larger fleet was being pursued by the brunt of the Iron Fleet. He was to avoid direct engagement and immediately report back to the main fleet if Redwyne's larger fleet changed course.
The prince refused to leave a fleet at his back, so the main fleet turned to pursue the smaller force heading for Lannisport. Unlike Redwyne, he knew that the port defenses were in shambles and harbor would offer no safe anchorage after the bombardment, If Lord Shaun wanted to lose his fleet piecemeal, Killion would grant his request.

The Iron Fleet arrives three days after the Arbor fleet has docked in Lannisport. The ships are docked as close to shore as they can get, citizens having been press ganged into digging trenches in the water to buy every available foot. Several thousand defenders are now swarming the ruined docks. Without the slow fortresses, which even if they came north would take several more days to arrive, there is no way to approach the ships save a direct assault.

Killion sent a corsair forward, knowing it sail far closer to the shore than the galleons could, to count the defenders to ascertain if the Western army was still present.
(Scouting 75)
The galleons of the Iron Fleet and Admiral Saim were left back to blockade the harbor in the event word reached them that the rest of Redwyne's fleet had turned about from its present course to engage.

Most has left, but some number remains. Hidden in alleys and buildings it is hard to say. A minimum of four thousand, he'd guess. Could be much more.

He ordered the galleys and corsairs forward, knowing the smaller ships could get far closer to shore than the docked galleons. Orders were given to rain flaming arrows down upon the docked ships. The galleons of the Iron Fleet likewise sailed within range to fire flaming ballistae bolts and catapult stones at the stationary ships.

Defenders on the ships return fire, while from the shore archers commence an attack. The remaining ground defense artillery also commences. Without the fortresses this is resembling a more traditional battle.

Leaving his father and Lord Saim in command of the blockading fleet, Prince Killion orders his army to land on the beachhead of the ruined port. The priority will be to burn the galleons at anchor and slay the defenders. He brings his best warriors with him and utters a battlecry, drawing his twin blades as the ships touch sand.

Round 1:
The Landing:
Amphibious assaults in the face of the enemy are exceedingly difficult, and the Lannisters and their new Redwyne allies are determined to make the invaders pay. A massive thirteen ship broadside, with shore artillery and archers, all slam into the boats. Eight corsairs are destroyed, along with a galley that gets to close to the line.
Fossoway: 199 (+39 for ships)
Hundreds of Ironborn raiders die in the hail, maybe more, and the first raiders to reach shore are set upon by the Kingsguard Ser Garin. A ferocious battle is clearly in the works.
Ironborn: 10200 men West: 8800

Garin: 158/192
Ser Garin is every bit a white of the white cloak, being the first to meet the fleet as it lands. Creed Humble goes for him but is struck fierce blows before he even makes landfall, his blood staining the bottom of his boat. Killion is having trouble organizing the attackers, but some are reaching the galleons, many many more being cut down by the disciplined forces the Ironborn fight so seldom. Eurics ships do disable two galleons as well.
