The great river, flowing from Tumbleton to the Shield Islands.

An Ironborn fleet the likes of which has not been seen on the Mander in centuries rows its way up the river, commanded by Quentyn Cleftjaw and Dagur Volmark. They advance until they meet resistance, or until they come within bowshot range of Highgarden, whichever is sooner. Every village, town, minor keep, farmstead, and trading post is sacked along the way.

The oars of the Leviathan's Bite slip into the Mander, it's captain Dagur Volmark eager for blood and plunder. As he looked over the verdant green fields of the Reach on either bank, he knew they would be in flames soon.

Upon receiving news of the entry of the Ironborn into the Mander, the Reach fleet which had been waiting on high alert at Highgarden slowly began to make its way downstream, in battle formation. Ser Harys Farman commands the fleet.

The forces meet at roughly two thirds of the distance to Highgarden along the river, which is just under a half mile wide at this point. Maneuvering will be difficult, and two separate forces of infantry are seen on the banks of the river. The Ironborn have sacked or slain roughly two dozen small villages so far, stormed a small holdfast, but this represents the first force of significant size they have seen. The Reach seemed largely depopulated due to a mass mobilization.

Quentyn orders a corsair to move forward and attempt to gauge how many ships and troops the Reach has present. They're to pull back when and if they are fired upon.

+2 scouting.
The mander comprises between eighteen and two dozen ships, the narrow river making an exact count difficult, and about three thousand men on each side of the river.

Quentyn calls for an orderly retreat to the mouth of the river. Those ships in the rear will come about first, and so on up the line.

"We could take them!" Volmark shouts from his ship, likely from bloodlust rather than reason. "Have more than double their ships."

"And if it were just their ships, we would!" Quentyn calls back. "But I don't want to get feathered from both sides of the river while we do it!"

A horn sounded from the flagship which was crammed with fighting men, as the Ironborn longships came into range. The archers both on the ships and on the banks on either side of the river, nocked arrows and in a co-ordinated volley let loose at their enemy.

Arrows are exchanged along the river between Tyrell and reaver, but losses are light on both sides, not even worth mentioning.

Once the ships get turned around, the fleet makes its way back down the river, taking advantage of the current in addition to their oars.
Once they reach the Mander's mouth, 30 of their corsairs, with Volmark in command, are left to blockade it. The remainder, commanded by Quentyn, move to raid to the north, along the Ocean Road.
Volmark: 50 Blockade
Cleftjaw: 80 Naval Raiding Nowhere to Hide: A successful (125+) Naval raiding roll improves a land raiding roll on the same or an adjacent target by +20, and vice versa. If both rolls on a target exceed 150, the target cannot raise troops for one in game month at all.

Cleftjaw: 140 raid
Much havoc is wrought, and word from prisoners indicates a huge force of westernmen is coming down the road.
