Character Background:
Theomore is the first born son of Lord Barristan Bulwer and his wife, Lady Margaret, though there was a incident at his birth that almost made it not so. Theomore's mother hadn't had the easiest of pregnancies and had been bed-ridden for the last two months before he was born, but thanks to the Maester at Blackcrown, both baby and mother pulled through. During the delivery the umbilical cord got stuck around Theomore's neck, but through skill and a large amount of luck from the midwife, Theomore pulled through. The incident made his parents quite afraid for their little boys future life and both parents prayed and gave gift and coin to the septons so that they could talk to the gods so that Theomore would grow up and become a old man, so the first six years of Theomore's life he spent mostly secluded and was dotted over by his mother and father, only spending time with septons beside his own family. Then his younger brother was born in 371 without any complications, and with two sons the succession line was secured, his father relaxed and began letting Theomore have more freedom, at least within the castle. His father saw to it that Theomore began to train with weapons and other skills that the future lord of Blackcrown could have use of, while his mother saw to it that he grew up to be a good and kind man that did the biddings of the Seven, which she believed was the reason for Theomore surviving his birth. Theomore seemed to have a close relationship with the horses at Blackcrown and spent many hours in the stables or with the Master of Horse to learn how to ride almost as soon as he had learned how to walk.
Theomore served his father as a page, mostly because his mother wouldn't allow his father to have Theomore sent away from her at that age, and Theomore's father had listened. While his father favored the sword as it took more control and finesse to down your enemy, Theomore found himself more inclined toward the morning star as it got the job done more quickly even if without the finesse and grandeur. At the age of eleven he was sent to squire for Alaric Hightower, the heir of Oldtown, something that his mother could live with as that meant that she could travel to see him if she so wished and his father wouldn't turn the opportunity down of securing such a prominent position for his son. Theomore still remember the day that he left Blackcrown for the first time; the ambiguous feeling of both complete dread and wonder at the same time. On the journey toward Oldtown they were attacked by wayward bandits and this would be the first time that Theomore saw a man getting killed in battle, and the first time that he properly understood what kind of world he was actually living in.
Theomore didn't have too much trouble getting used to the smell and sounds of Oldtown, instead he found that the wonders of living in such a bustling city greatly outweighed the downsides, especially as a noble young boy in his early adolescence. The many alehouses, taverns and brothels introduced Theomore to the darker side of humanity and most of his earnings were spent in these places, even if he always felt so guilty afterwards. Theomore was no older than thirteen when he first laid with a woman, a whore whom were thrice his age. This made him feel so guilty that he sent a raven and told his father about it. This made his parents very disappointed and ashamed, arranging so that the whore was sent away from Oldtown so that she could never tell anyone of this.
Theomore grew older and became more and more skilled as a squire, serving his master and House Hightower honorably, aiding in catching bandits or fighting against pirates that dared to enter the Whispering Sound. While Alaric was the one with higher standing,it was Theomore that the guards and soldiers looked to and listened to during the skirmishes and battles, which drove a small wedge between the otherwise good friends. The final nail in the coffin of that friendship came when the two boys fell in love with the same young lady-in-waiting that served Alaric's sister, and Alaric could never really forgive Theomore for taking the girl away from him, even after Theomore realized that he didn't have that kind of interest in the girl after he gotten to know her.
This is when Theomore was given the byname, The Young Bull, as a mock toward his father's byname as well as toward the way that he looked back then before he had more grown out of his adolescent body. Alaric managed to turn many of the other boys as the castle against him, before Alaric's father set a stop to it all and scolded his son for his behavior toward the son of one of his bannermen. As a compensation for the way he had been treated, Theomore was knighted at the age of sixteen and stood vigil at the Starry Sept, before he was sent to return to Blackcrown and serve his father as one of his household knights until he was ready to assume the role of Lord of Blackcrown.
Character's Physical Description:
Theomore is a young man that have yet to reach his full height, but at his current 6 feet he is quite a sight to face on the training grounds. He has spent a lot of time with the master-at-arms and his father at Blackcrown before serving the heir to Oldtown, Alaric, which has given the young man a well-built body with broad shoulders. His waist isn't especially big, but because of his flat stomach it appears wider. While his body might attract some of the unmarried women of the Goldlands, his face is rather plain-looking, so he isn't one the ladies of Westeros gossip or swoon about when they're together in their little groups. His green eyes hides beneath light-brown tinted eyebrows and his snub nose take up a large part of his face. His wavy hair reaches below his ears and looks to be of a very dark blonde color or light brown depending on the angle of light from the sun. He usually dresses in dark earthy colors that sports the sigil of House Bulwer in some way or another.
Character Reputation:
In the southern parts of the Goldlands, around Oldtown and the lands surrounding it, Theomore is the first son of Lord Barristan Bulwer, known as the Old Bull, and the future lord of Blackcrown. He is known for his bright mind and his keen understanding of battle for a man of his young age, and the knight who has ended many small uprisings from the smallfolk and even a band of outlaws or two. He is also known as a devoted follower of the Faith and is often seen praying at the many septs around Oldtown and at Blackcrown. The only reason that he has not joined the Faith Militant is that he believes that he can serve the gods more by serving his father and the people of Blackcrown than be another sword to the army of the Faith Militant.
