Character's Personal History:
Whilst a Lannister by name, Vincent is far removed from the actual ruling family of the Goldlands. Second cousin to the King and something like the twentieth or thirtieth in line to the throne, Vincent was born the second son of Lord Desmond Lannister, cousin of King Domeric and a highly respected General in his day. Ser Vincent is very much his father's son. Brought up harshly by his father, his mother's influence was weak - she being fat, timid and plain and afraid to stand up to her husband. As a result, Vincent grew into a very poorly adjusted young man who seems to take pleasure in suffering and probably doesn't understand the concept of kindness. This is not to say that he is unintelligent, as he seems to possess his own form of low cunning.
Vincent's first experience of battle came in a local peasant uprising a few miles from Sarsfield in 355, where Vincent, aged 14, squired for Ser Walter of House Sarsfield. Vincent witnessed Ser Walter being mortally injured by a well-placed pitchfork, and was eventually forced into slitting his master's throat as a kindness at the end of the short battle. Vincent learnt a lot during this initial skirmish, but chiefly he learnt two things - how easy it is to kill a man in combat, and how easier it is to kill a man when he is completely helpless. He found that he enjoyed both.
Vincent spent the next couple of decades in the lifestyle that suited him - one of selfish pleasures and cruelty. He served his father up until his death in 375, and then served his elder brother just as happily from then onwards. It is difficult to know whether Vincent's birth and station made him the man that he is, or whether the man that he is just suits his station very well. Lordship or higher birth would not have suited Vincent, for it would have held too much responsibility, with little enough opportunity for the things in life he had come to enjoy - fighting, whoring and generally being a destructive force. Being a Lannister however, and being due a small amount of the family fortune is much to his liking as it allows him greater opportunities in life - a wider range of whores, a wider range of men he can feel superior to. The issue of a wife for Vincent has never been raised, and nor is it likely - it being neither neccessary nor a good idea. Vincent has been made aware that he has fathered bastards, however he could not care less. It has even been rumoured that he brutally killed one mother who came begging to him, although this has never been proven.
A man of few ambitions beyond anything that he may wish to happen later on in any given day, Vincent has never achieved anything of note - happy to coast through til death living purely on the cheap thrills offered by his name and small wealth.
Character's Physical Description:
A short man (5"7') who packs a mean punch, this bald knight has a face built for scowling menacingly. He is most often dressed in studded leather and roughspun wool, generally having no time for what he would regard as 'poncing around'.
Character's Reputation:
A cruel bastard. He is known for horrible mistreatment of peasants and face-to-face mockery of some of the politer classes (when he can get away with it). Not known for any feats of note in his lifetime, he is viewed by many in high places as a worthless, disgusting man. His level of strength and endurance are unquestionable however, as has been borne out by his performance in various local tournaments. No doubt someone will at some stage find a use for his 'talents'.
