Character Background:
Raven a bastard girl of the North. She was raised in the halls of House Umber by Lord Erik Umber. She was raised among her legitimate siblings but only given enough room to live as a distant part of the family, not to be seen when festivities were given.
Lord Umber took into account that his bastard daughter would not ever marry a true noble of the lands, no matter how beautiful her looks were. Her education of becoming a lady was not important to him, since he knew his Lady wife was never taken to be a mother to Raven. With her being an exploit of his wayward loins, he understood fully well. Lord Erik began teaching Raven the sleek feel of the bow, where to aim to kill her prey or an enemy. His specialty was not the dual wielding of weapons, so he left her education to his Man at Arms, her uncle Tarren Umber. By the time Raven was 14, she could dual wield any bladed weapon, but the short swords were her favorite to use and hit any target with an arrow from any distance. Ser Tarren also let her dabble in the play of small blades, just in case she lost her swords. If that was even possible, those swords were an extention of her body as were her own arms.
Raven always frequented about the North with her father on most of his journeys, even though Lady Umber strongly protested. Eddard's Nest was one of her favorite places to go, to see the many knights and warriors of the North. It was what she wanted but knew she could not have, but it was her deepest of dreams to leave and find her own way and her own destiny.
After her rescue in the last year from the rubble and wreckage of Eddard’s rest after the tidal wave attack, Raven has found herself in the fighting company of Prince Benjen Stark. She was a member of his army while he waged war from the North to the Riverlands and back North again. In the lull of those times, she had earned a place on the Prince’s personal guard under the leadership of Crowl, who returned to the fight after the Prince was allowed to rest and recuperate. The battle fought against Clegane, Raven found herself earning more scars from the two battles against his forces, but again they lived to see another day of living and a return to Eddard’s Rest.
She watched the Prince regain his strength and spend time with his growing family. His top bodyguard Dayna was always present, protecting him. Raven thought it was wise. She too perfected her strength and stamina by spending most of her days on the practice yards with sparing duels with Dayna Frey. She knew that Prince Benjen would not remain still for too long, she had to be ready when the time came to face another battle to defend the North.
Character's Physical Description:
Raven is about 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighs around 165 pounds, with a sexy athletic build. Her hair is long and brown, slightly wavy but no one would know because she always has it in a braid that hangs down to the base of her back. Her eyes were an emerald green, but they change to different shades depending on her moods. When she removes her helm to let people see her face, it is often hard to believe that a woman so beautiful wears a full suit of armor that was custom made for her and handles herself so gracefully while wielding her weapons.
Character's Reputation:
Even though Raven is the bastard born of Lord Umber, she is known throughout her family's house as of one of the best warriors within its walls.
There is a constant floating rumor about Raven stemming from the fact that she is not married or has any children is because no man will have her because she is a bastard or that she does not like men at all.
