"We're still likely to draw blood," Benjen told Crowl, before giving Titus a grin. "You also saw four armed monsters that had been sown together from corpses." He looks up at the hill. "Right, let's get 'em."

As they sprint up the hill, the men face them. Their apparent leader motions to one, who runs off. The other four raise crossbows, but they are waved down. "Cassadar wants them to find him if they came, you heard his orders."

Crowl continues to run uphill against the men holding crossbows weighted down by his armour, in what is probably the most idiotic tactical move ever.

Round 1:
Benjen: 133 Leader: 81 (-35)
Titus: 168 Minion: 83 (-35) Minion: 98 (-35)
Karyl: 137 Minion: 93 (-20) Minion: 134
The three friends quickly heavily hit nearly all of the enemies, and the fight is less a battle and more a slaughter.

Benjen: 174 Leader: 61
Titus: 150 Minion: 110 Minion: 67
Karyl: 139 Minion: 99 Minion: 92 (-20)
All but one man is brutally slaughtered, their unfired crossbows a somewhat disturbing testament to whatever spell or fanaticism they are compelled by. A few of their would-be victims are alive, and the wounded man is disarmed from the Crowl's having mangled his han like a woodchipper.

Oriax moors his boat on the shore and disembarks, venturing into the weirwood forest towards the source he had been tracking.

Nyles looks about warily. "They say this island is haunted."
//
The three northmen have finished dismembering all their foes save one, and the four sacrifices to be are looking at them in shock.

"They also say that the people of my land are the spawn of shadows, yet I assure you I am flesh and blood the same as any man." Oriax countered, inspired forward now that he was near his goal. "In my experience there is often more to fear from the truth than the rumors."

Nyles uses silence as an answer. The pair see a few northmen off in the distance and up a hill, and the weirwoods have left red trails on the ground, the sap forming puddles on the ground reminiscent of blood.

The Crowl gives him a slight kick to stifle the laughter, "Where on this island is he waiting for us?" He asks again.

"The Valley of the Faces, Lord Crowl." He laughs through the kick and the mangled hand.

Crowl wonders if he even knows where such a place is on the isle, but quickly moves onto the next question, "What does he plan on raising with all of these sacrifices and blood spilling?"

"Raise...nothing...the Goddess's revival will be stopped..." The man is bleeding out swiftly.
