"You do seem rather interested in it," she noted. "I think you're fun. Also, you don't hate me for being a beautiful princess," she notes with a wink. "Your station is close enough."

"Who could ever hate you, Catherine, for something you cannot help?" She laughed. "Pretty or not, princess or not..." She eyed her carefully, then shook her head.

"A lot of people. The fact you can't conceive of the notion is part of why we're friends. People hate you, right? Who have you ever given legitimate offense?" She mimicked her suspicious eyeing look.

She thought for a moment. "Can't think of a one. Maybe the Limper, but, well, he started it."
(totally not being suspicious :<)

"Well, he can burn in whatever hell he got sent to. My point remains the same," she said. "But someone still hates you; even if it's not your fault."

"I understand what you mean," Arania said, nodding. "But I still think it's silly to hate someone for their appearance alone."

Arania smiled. "I suppose so."
She was silent a moment. "So I guess it will be some time before we leave here? Waiting out the storm, so to speak, while the men go finish off Cassadar?"

"I don't think it'll be too much longer, really. Either he's in the area and they end it, or he's not and we head north anyway. If he tracked us to Winterfell he'd run out of places to hide quick; Kal and his family know that land like you know basic grammar." Catherine nods. "I'd say soon."

"Oh, don't be too down, my dear. Your man loves you, you're marrying into a wonderful family, and you have the best friends in the world." She looks jokingly smug. "Not to blow my own whistle, of course."

Arania was amused by that. "You're so humble, Catherine," she said with a grin. "I will be glad to become a Stark, but I can't help but feel worried. Strange things are in the world and I won't feel fully comfortable until they are out of it, once and for all." She shrugged. "But there is no point in dwelling on such things. Ill try to think of something more pleasant."

After a lovely meeting with Benny, Kalvin heads to Arania's room. He's already packed his gear, so he only has a typical longsword belted at his side. He knocks on the door.

(oops, I never got the other one! I shall assume Cath has gone?)
"Come in!" called Arania, marking her place in the ubiquitous book with her finger. She looked expectantly toward the door.
