"Of course."
She guided the dragon towards the hills.
"Oh, this is even better than sailing," she declared. "And much better than riding a horse."

"I happen to quite agree. No one to bother us up here." He takes the reins from her to land. They are on a rounded hill east of Meereen, and he leads her to a cliff that overlooks the great river. In the evening's dying glow, it catches a crystal formation that makes it look like the ground below is on fire.

Reyna gasped.
"It's so beautiful. I have never seen anything like it! Is he the only dragon then?"

"No, my...half brother has a black one. Larger even than my friend here. Let's not worry about him," Sirius said. "Tell me a little more about yourself, then. I feel I have talked too much. You do not seem very Ironborn to me, from the stories."

"No. I'm not. I have served as Ambassador to the Goldlands. I like the same kind of things ladies like on the mainland. That makes me very different to women of the Islands. But many of them have quite a hard life compared to women in the Goldlands and other places. Those women actually have time to read and play instruments and sing. I always wanted to be like them as a little girl. Like a heroine in a song, you know?"
She smiled.
"I felt like a princess when I got my first Lannisport gown. Dresses in the Iron Islands are just so dull!"

"Interesting. That explains the grace and beauty, I assume. And our dresses here?" he asks.

"They are very beautiful. I like them very much," she said. "They are ideal for the heat. The one I wore before was a little tight in the bodice. I'm used to that, but I'd prefer something looser in this heat."

"Well, the gods blessed you," he said with a laugh. "Do you dance, on the Iron Islands?"

"Not often. There's the finger dance, but that's not a proper dance, and men can lose their fingers. Women hardly ever do the finger dance. We prefer to keep our fingers."

"I shall correct myself." He offered a hand in the evening light. "Do you dance?"

"I do," she said. "I love dancing. I love music too. It's like entering another world where anything is possible."

"Would you, then? Dance with me here? The rushing water can be our music. Or I could sing, but probably best to avoid that for now."

Reyna smiled.
"I used to practice dancing without music when I was little. I'd be honoured to dance with you now," she said.

The king pulls her in for a slow and easy dance that he performs with the precision of a man who has done it hundreds of times. He makes the steps more and more complicated while sticking to the same beat to test her familiarity, and is pleased when she can match him. "You are talented at this. I shouldn't be surprised."

"You flatter me," she said. "I love dancing, though. I always danced when I could at Casterly Rock. It's one of my favourite things."
