Guards go to stop them, but a lovely young woman in a red cloak waves them off, the silk falling over her shoulders less shiny than her golden hair. She says something to them in their tongue, then smiles to Ami and the knight. "How can I help you?"

"Thank you for that; I am Amelia Royce, of Westeros," Ami said, climbing from her horse. "We... we are looking for the other ambassadors; Arania Hightower, Kal Stark and Danya Frey."

"Well, you're too late for the lovely Stark man; he went south three weeks ago. But the other two are staying at the Dragon's Welcome Tavern right down this street, by the sea. I am Cassana Targaryen, so nice to make your ac...hmmm...acquaintance?"

"Acquaintance, yes," Ami said with a nod and a smile. "You must be one of the king's daughters? How lovely to meet you." Amelia curtsied.

"Sister," she corrected. "And I am ever so pleased to meet you; your friends have been just lovely to spend time with and talk to."

"And it is lovely meeting you," Ami returned. "I should probably go find my friends. What way to the Dragon's Welcome?"

She points down the road. "Half a mile down on the left. You cannot miss it, I promise."

Together Arania and Amelia made it to the palace. The latter was adept at walking in heels and so helped her friend manage the way. "I hope they will let us in..." She said as they approached.

"I'm sure they will, if they recognize me under all this powder and rouge." Arania approached the guards on her own. "We are Arania Hightower and Amelia Royce, of the Northern envoy from Westeros. We have urgent business to discuss with King Sirius." She spoke with confidence and authority.

The guards, of course, don't even speak Valyrian, but they recognize that the guests are at least Westerosi and let them pass. As they head up the long flight of stairs, they see a slightly rounder Princess Tristessa, reading a book. The king's chambers, they believe are a full hundred feet above the throne room. It will be a long and painful walk.

"Oh..." Ami said to Arania when she saw the pregnant dragon. "We should probably take our shoes off for the way up!" She said with a laugh, doing as she had said.

Arania's feet were complaining before they had even set foot inside the Pyramid, so Amelia's suggestion was a welcome one. She looked at Tristessa, wondering if she would remember speaking to her at their camp in Mason's Keep. She shucked off the shoes, her feet immediately grateful. "I had forgotten how many steps there were. Silly me, to have let you talk me into these ridiculous heels."

"But they make you walk in a delicious way! Not to speak of what they do to your behind," Ami giggled as she lead the way up the many steps. "We should take it slow really... don't want to be all sweaty when we get up there!"

"I'm used to stairs, the Hightower has a lot of them. I do prefer more sensible shoes, though." The stairs were cool and solid under her bare feet. It was several minutes before they reached the next landing. "Is it here?"
