Everyone else chuckles. "Well, the work of a hero is never done...and despite yourself, Ser Titus, I fear you are a hero."

"Such a cruel accusation from such an otherwise lovely girl," Titus chuckled. "I suppose I'll be going, if just to keep my loyal fans happy. I must be very careful not to kill Cassadar, though, less I fear my friendship with your brother will be over."

"He doesn't like sharing," Meera agrees. "Though I hope you can perhaps bail him out when he gets in over his head."

"His hatred is inspiring, Princess, and I will do my best to see that he stays out of trouble."

"Thanks. So, then, what else interests you, when you aren't saving the world?"

"I'm a man of the sea. The beauty of it, the taste, the smell, the adventure beyond the crest of every whitecap, it's intoxicating. I also like a decent bard, good wine, the best company and the occasional chance to practice my Valaryan," he smiled, "because the Gods know I need the practice."

"Should have gone east, then; it sounds like another man of sanity would have been useful," she said. "I've never seen the Narrow Sea."

"I've heard less than nothing of the expedition, and the way you put it, I think it's still too much. The Narrow Sea is a beautiful bitch, if you'll pardon me saying. She's nothing but sweet lovelies one day, and a murderously hostile the next. You would be more than welcome at Gulltown or aboard my Menacing Tide if your curiosity ever grows too strong to bear," he said with a small grin, not being able to ignore the thought of the humor of watching a beautiful princes retching over the side.

Meera shrugs. "I think the city interests me more than the water. Even the God's Eye makes me queasy when we boat on it."

"The city is quite nice, though, I think we can make it more so. What sort of things do you like?"

"Well, let's see. Riding is always a good day, when it's nice out, at least. I dabble in archery for something to do, and I speak a fair bit of Valyrian myself. Princesses aren't let outside to play much," she notes.

"I would have thought a Princess would do what she wants," Titus said, in his best Valyrian. "A man who can deny the whims of one such as yourself must be more a man than myself. Lucky for me, I wasn't born a King," he laughed.

"A man who can deny my whims is called the king," she answered, her Valyrian not as polished but perfectly acceptable. "My charm does little enough on my own father," she said.

"Well luckily for you, you might yet escape," he smiled. Your Valyrian is quite good, if you spent a bit of time in the free cities no doubt you'd perfect it. You might like Pentos, I know I do, of course, there is the issue of ships," he laughed.

"If I could go to Braavos or any of them I could manage lasting a bit with my head in a bucket." he said with a laugh. "Delila, now she needs a dragon to interest her."
