"It's a surprise. I guarantee you'll like it." He crosses his hand over his heart in a solemn silence.

"I'd better, or you certainly won't be seeing my breasts," she whispered with a wink. "So...when shall we arrange the challenges to take place?"

"After the melee. You can race the child then." He kisses her again and leans back to watch the men beat each other bloody.

Arania was in the stands, next to her sisters and mother. She watched the men bash at eachother with little interest. She could not see the beauty in it that the Prince had described and she almost wished she had stayed in the tent with her books. Instead, she watched the crowd, shading her eyes with her hands in an effort to recognize the royal families in the bright sunlight.

Reyna smiled and nodded. After a while, however, she got a bit bored of the melee and, since Fyodor was obviously engrossed, she looked around to see who else was nearby and worth talking to.
Spotting Arania fairly close by, she excused herself to Fyodor and walked over to the girl from the Reach.
"Hello," she said. "How are you enjoying the melee?"

Arania glanced up at the woman. She didn't recognize her. "It's alright, if you like watching men pointlessly bloody eachother. May I ask to whom I am speaking?"

"Reyna Harlaw, ambassador to Casterly Rock. Might I know your name as well? I know you are not a member of the King's court else I would have recognised you."

"I'm Arania Hightower." She moved to the side a bit, making room for Reyna to sit if she wished. "I haven't been to the court in quite some time. Harlaw...ambassador from the Iron Islands?" She looked Reyna over. "You probably hear this often, but you do not look like an Islander."

Reyna smiled as she took her seat.
"Yes. I hear that a lot. It doesn't trouble me. I wouldn't make a very good ambassador if I looked like a raider. Do you have a favourite to win the melee?"

"No, you wouldn't." Arania laughed at that. "And no, I haven't one. I don't know anyone down there, save Lord Tyrell, and I'd like to see him knocked down once or twice."

"Oh, poor Lord Tyrell then," Reyna said with a soft laugh. "I have not met him, alas, so I cannot judge him either way. For myself, I hope Lord Drumm triumphs. I knew him a little when I was a girl. My own champion, alas, did not wish to compete."
She shrugged delicately.
"Perhaps you will find someone worthy of your favour in the joust."

"Well, Prince Benjen said he would compete, but I guess after everything with Meghan Lannister, it is better that he doesn't." She scanned the field again. "Oh, there is Blackwall! I suppose I will favor him, then," she said decisively.

"Oh...yes. I heard about that, of course. Whoever would have thought him a rescuer of fair ladies?"
She said it a smile, deciding that it was unwise to enquire further into the situation.
"But that is interesting, that we both choose one of my people as our favourites. I'm sure they would laugh if they knew. No doubt all these fine nights from across the realms would be quite disappointed."

"Yes, it is interesting, especially since the Iron Islanders tend to have a very bad reputation among us 'greenlanders.' But Blackwall...I find that many of your men seem to have an honor that the stories would say they did not." She watched him fall. "Ah, poor fellow. I hope no lasting injuries...oh! It seems your Lord Drumm is prevailing! I am begining to see why this barbaric sport is so popular."

Reyna laughed and clapped.
"Oh yes! Our culture is different to the customs of the Andals, or the Rhoynar, or the North, but we have our own kind of honour. We don't hold melees very often. but the men of the Iron Islands often fight one another for sport, or to settle a quarrel. And have you heard of finger dancing? I don't believe it's practiced in the green lands."
