Benjen nodded as the group waited, Walton handing Danya a crossbow fit for her size while Amelia pulled the small belt around her cloak tight, which acted more like a jacket. Benjen checked his sword.

Catherine takes a few minutes, but comes out, wearing a chain shirt over her thick woolen tunic, and a blue cloak with silver trim. She has belted a dagger around her waist, and under a floppy hat her hair blows out in disorganized strands. She grins. "I'm learning to accessorize."

Benjen chuckled and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "You look wonderful, my dear," He said, before they set off. The first port of call was the Dornish camp, to go find Martyn the guardsman.

Catherine sneaks into her room and drags Ami in also, so they can wash each other off from their battle. Newly promoted Captain Griffyn follows Benjen to his father's door's entrance as Ben enters. King Terrence, Ser Justin, Lord Leon Frey, and Princess (Lady) Haley Mallister are all seated having a discussion. "There you are, son...what happened now!?"

"I tracked down the place where Saltcliffe was bringing the girls," He said, entering the room. "A small farmstead not far from here. Cassadar and some of his men arrived; we fought but he got away. Wounded."

Terrence rises and puts his hands on Ben's shoulders, looking at his bloody clothing. "Are you all right, son? Cassadar wounded? why didn't you tell me you were hunting him down?!"

"I did not think I would be quite so successful in finding him," Benjen said, nodding when his father asked if he was alright. "Can you make sense of this?" He asked, holding the note out to him. "Also, this is Griffyn, the lone surviving guard. I have promoted him to captain of my personal guard and he has earned himself a quadrupling of his salary."

Terrence looks at it. "I...actually can. I knew a man who had handwriting like this once." His face turns pale. He waves to motion he heard about the new salary for Griffyn. Ser Justin rises and walks to Ben. "And Catherine? She was with you?"

"Who was he?" Benjen asked his father, now really worried, before turning to Ser Justin. "She was... I did not intend to put Catherine in such danger but she handled herself well."

"Of course she did; she's my daughter. Is she hurt?" Justin looks like he's down for some Cassadar ass stomping right then. Haley rises, beautiful in her early thirties, maybe even more so than when she had been a maiden, and heads out to find her daughter.
Terrence crumples the note. "Darryn Snow." He looks at Benjen. "My brother."

"Your brother?" Benjen says, truly surprised now. "But why would he... and... what does it say?" He looks to Justin Mallister. "No; Cassadar gave her a minor wound but she managed to escape being captured." He frowned.

"Well, he isn't exactly the white knight of the family." Terrence deadpanned. "He's writing from...hmmm. He says the dragons will bring disaster, and to forestall it no matter what." He shook his head. "Gods damn it."
Justin pats Benjen on the shoulder, hard, before leaving to find his daughter.

"Forestall them..." Benjen muttered to himself, going over the events of the night in his head. "Amelia... she asked if she could go East, with Danya. It might be useful to have someone over there with keen eyes."

"Yes." He walks away and takes a seat, unable to speak a moment at the news. "But perhaps we need more. You have fought Cassadar face to face and shed his blood." He let out a breath. "He will not be able to accept that. He is going to come after you with all his rage." He lets out another painful breath.
