Benjen shook his head with a laugh before going to bed.

He is brought to her door, where guards ask him to hand over his weapons. Only then is he lead inside, where Benjen Stark is sat on the side of Ami's bed, talking to her. The girl still has bandages over parts of her body though her face began to look better, the bruise disappearing. Both of them looked up when he entered.
"Yes?" the Prince asked.

Ragnar frowned as he saw the girl's injuries. He felt vaguely sorry for her even though she wasn't one of his own people. But he pushed that aside. Sympathy was not a proper emotion for an Ironborn lord and captain.
"Prince Benjen, I had hoped for a word with the young lady," he said. "But perhaps you can help, if she is unable."

"Perhaps we can be of mutual assistance," Benjen said, standing, hands behind his back. "As a matter of fact I had been thinking of paying the Iron Born camp a visit. What do you wish to ask?"

"I was told that the capture of Lady Amelia and Lady Arania was not the only strange thing that occured that night. I was told other curious things happened and advised to seek out the Northmen. Perhaps you have heard of those things, Prince Benjen?"
Ragnar's expression simply reflected curiosity. He wanted to find out what was going on.

"You heard that I murdered Meghan Lannister," Benjen said, sounding like he was beginning to grow weary of the constant questions. "I killed one of the men who was responsible for the massacre in the sept, which in turn lead to Meghan's death."

"I see. I don't care what you did or didn't do," Ragnar said bluntly. "But I have reason to believe there was something odd about the capture of Lady Amelia, here. So my question to you is this, when you killed the man involved in the massacre, did you think there was something odd about him? Was he foreign, for example? Did you find anything strange on his corpse?"

"He sacrificed several people and conjured up a fist of blood which slammed straight into Hollis Clegane," Benjen replied. "I did not search his body, though others might have."

"Perhaps you can tell me who those people are?" Ragnar suggested. "It's as I feared, this is beyond the understanding of ordinary men. Can you tell me anything about the sacrifice, and the fist of blood? It stinks of sorcery to me."

"The Old Gods may be different to your Drowned one, but us Northmen know little more about sorcery and sacrifices than you Ironborn," Benjen said, his voice a little tighter now. "I am a prince to the North not an acolyte at a temple of Rh'llor, Drumm."

"I know that, Stark," Ragnar retorted. "I did not expect you to know how sorcery works. I merely wished to know if you saw anything else that might be of use. It strikes me that the two incidents might be connected. Someone chose to make trouble for my people. I wish to know why, and to stop them from doing the same again."

"I was too busy trying to get Nina Martell to safety and fight the cultists who were coming at me to do much investigating," Benjen answered. "Now, Amelia does not remember much of what happened after she entered the carriage. Where was it you found her?"

"I've no idea. Some road miles from here. We passed the brothel and road for hours down the road after that. But I'd no map to hand so I couldn't tell you," Ragnar sighed. "I'm not familiar with this area. But there was a broken carriage, if that's of any use."

"Would you be able to find it again?" Benjen asked, already a half formed plan in his head.
