Background:
Born the younger brother of Ser Justin Mallister, the famed warrior of House Mallister, Ser Liam was forever overshadowed. During arms training, Liam was seen to have a proficiency with the mace, but he did not possess the natural talent that Justin proved time and time again. Only through perseverance and hard work did he, little by little, get better with his weapon of choice. The talent gap between the two boys also served as the catalyst for a rift between the two, as Liam was jealous of his brother's gift. It was only when Liam was sent to squire for Lord Blackwood that the rift began to heal, as the boy learned that there was much more to wars than wielding a sword.
During his time as a squire, Liam was taught the intricacies of command and seige, both of which he excelled at. His ability to find the smallest flaw in a defender's plan was encouraged by both the Lord Blackwood and his father. This praise led Liam to study the art of seigework and fortifications extensively, which also forced him to learn more and more about the gold and resources needed to successfully lay siege/build fortifications. When he was knighted by the seven oils, Ser Liam made it his personal mission to use this new-found knowledge to improve his ancestral home.
Physical Description: Like many Mallisters, Liam has bright blue eyes that match the color of the seas. His shoulder-length hair is a light brown color, while his otherwise average frame does little to intimidate others. He is, if anything else, average.
Reputation: Ser Liam is rather unknown outside of The North. Most just know him as the "other Mallister". Those that do know him realize just how gifted his mind is.
