ooc: I recommend getting your second and third ready; you've met pretty much everyone you need to for here.

Joanna was idly pacing one of the balconies overlooking the Gallery, wondering how much longer until they'd return to Lannisport. She didn't mind the place, but having to fake sadness for her sister's death whenever her father was around was getting wearisome.
She came to a halt, leaned on the railing and looked down at the court in session.

Between grief at her sister's death and the majority of the lords at Mason Keep, the court is nearly empty. The only person Joanna recognizes for sure is Shaun Redwyne, the Master of Ships and highest ranking person present. At the moment, the day to day running of the kingdom has been left to him.

Suppressing a smirk at the sight of the famously handsome Ser Shaun, Joanna walked over without a second thought, like it was the logical thing to do. Naturally drawn to everything pretty and powerful, she cleared her throat.
"Lord Redwyne," she greeted, her voice ringing in the near-empty hall like a silvery bell. "Captain of a ghost ship today, as I see?"

He smiles at the golden haired lovely. "I fear my crew has mutinied and left me to drift alone here." He leans back in the chair. "Not that there is much to do when running a kingdom, when everyone who normally causes problems is away."

"Yet when they are not away, you are not the one running a kingdom," Joanna offered, her lips curving into a smile. "It is a dead circle. Are you saying nothing at all has happened while we were gone?" she asked, her smile turning into a pout.

"Just some odd letters saying something about being on the lookout for...cults." He shakes his head. "I have no idea, honestly; the Faith seems to be taking itself rather more seriously these days.'

Joanna looked down before answering. Her sister had been brutally murdered in a sept. She bit her lip, thinking about the probability of this. How likely was a coincidence in this case anyway?
"Cults? What kind of cults?" she asked Shaun, studying his expression more closely for the next part. "Are they connected to Meghan's death?"

"I don't know," he says. It was clear Shaun Redwyne had dearly wanted the lovely young woman. "Apparently they were strong enough to give this...Benjen Stark and Hollis Clegane a fight for their life."

Who hadn't, she thought. Meghan was and will be everyone's favourite. "Yes, but who are they, exactly?" she asked, stepping forward. "And more importantly.. is something being done to catch them?"

"From what I understand, Stark did the sorcerer in, and Clegane turned the others into bloody messes." He shakes his head. "Rumors implicate Cassadar." He smiles finally and regards her more carefully. "You're quite safe here, of course."

Joanna returned the smile, pretty sure Meghan had thought she was safe and that hadn't turned out well. "You did not answer the last question, my lord," she said silkily. "Or perhaps I should talk to my father or brother about that."

"Ser Geoffrey Swyft and a hundred men are scouring the land at the moment, searching up clues. I have no reason to believe he will be unsuccessful." Shaun shrugs. He is not a man particularly suited for land tactics. "Our ships are searching any suspicious incoming or outgoing vessels, of course."

"Hopefully he will bring the people responsible to justice," Joanna replied, not bothering to question the man's prowess. That or being the new face of failure.
She offered him another smile. "Well, thank you for the assurance. I shall not keep you from your numerous duties any longer," she said before retreating.

"Oh, Lady Joanna," he says, "Owen Miller has been seen around your manor in Lannisport. Be careful. We can't lose another one of you," he says with a grim smile.
