Yeah, that's not really the amount an average person would pay for a car. Even with the conversion rates. I think it might even be more than my parents paid for their motorvan!

It's all in the eye of the beholder.

Even if I made enough money to buy a car that expensive, why? (Unless it's a Tesla.)

The average price of a new car is 33k. 50k for a nicer car is hardly ridiculous. Hell you guys live in the UK, the makers of Bentley and Rolls Royce where the average price is 180k and 250k respectively. 50k is like a mid-range luxury car, so more upper-middle class.
A tesla also STARTS at 100k.

I have never (to the best of my knowledge) met a person who owned either of the above.

The Tesla Model S P85D is 105,000, and that is with all the little bells and whistles. The 70D is 75,000, but with incentives, and saving on gas it's 57,500. Which is essentially in the 50k price range.

It was a figure of speech. It was a Shelby that retails at higher. Was just saying it was expensive and it sucks.

I used to have a 50k dollar truck, and let me tell you...I probably would have thrown myself under the tree to go out with her.

You said they have them in Southyros, so that's where I'm headed after this little Others thing gets settled. All joking aside though, it was definitely a financial mistake lol

This is an OLD complaint dating back to the 90s, but... Does anyone ever get tired with all the 'Iron' business? It just seems they'd want to branch out into new metals... or maybe just some new fucking adjectives. I mean... everyone else has discovered steel at this point. Even wildlings prefer it, and they, almost by definition, don;t have shit for resources.

Well the IB are outdated, so it is rather fitting.
I also thought it was because they had Iron mines, not because they used Iron everything.

They are also descended from the First Men. who certainly did use iron before the Andals brought steel. I guess everyone tends to think of iron as a symbol of strength even thousands of years later.
