I just hope every joke isn't some god awful "woman power hear me roar" shit, and every punchline being "Get it! It's cause they have vaginas and aren't suppose to act like that!". That these 4 actors can pull off a good verbal comedy with one another that isn't only funny because they're woman, and that the angle itself is non-prevalent. They need to be Ghostbusters first, and Identity Politics second.
I also hope the people working on Ghostbusters realize that Ghostbusters isn't a pure comedy, but a Comeday/Action/Horror blend. So many people just throw out the Comedy bit that it worries me we'll get less Funny Dialogue and Unsettling Scenarios that were in Ghostbusters 1, and more Slapstick Ha-Ha like in Ghostbusters 2.
Unfortunately, all I hear are "Girl Ghostbusters" and "Comedy" being pushed by the official sources. So my hopes are basically null. Also the fact that this film has been in Production Hell for over a decade makes me even more skeptical it'll be good.

Well you mostly watch it for the dark comedy about it. It's what makes it interesting. Can you imagine it without the humour.

Keyword in that is the Dark part of the Comedy. Otherwise you get dancing toasters, farting slime, and the statue of liberty coming to life with a catchy tune ane good vibes.

So I just came to congratulate Erik on the great game the Indians played today, but it turns out they're the worst team in a bad division. Or, in the immortal words of Major League, "they're still shitty." Such a great film.

Eh, they're done for this year most likely, but they've got some good young players. I'm cautiously optimistic for the future.

Everyone enjoy your Friday nights! I'll be mostly off tonight and should be on quite a bit tomorrow when the date changes and some armies can start moving.

Okay, I want to show off two funny videos, but first, a history lesson. Frogware makes an excellent series of adventure games starring Sherlock Holmes. In most of them, Watson is your ever faithful companion. However, in the first two games in which he appeared, (The Awakened and Nemesis) the developers cut a few corners. They designed Watson to follow you everywhere... but they forgot to design him actually moving...
For the latest game, Frogware brought it back for a quick tribute. (The meme is a bit more popular than the actual series.)
