"Lord Malryas seldom bothers with silks and skirts. When he brings one out for you, you'll know it's for a good cause." Aaron leans over, thinking. "I need to send some people south to investigate the battle lines, see what this war is really like. Who would you send if you were me?"
Selyse looks amused. "No sense in backing a side too weak to reciprocate the aid. Our resources are limited enough."

"Of course," Frances replied, hefting his spear and moving to the exit. "I shall find out as much as I can."

"Ser Frances, you'll be meeting a few of our so-called allies. Although I'd rather have only Dornish eyes, for the moment we must continue this pretence of friendship. They'll be assembling at the southern gate."

Frances frowned. "If you say so, milady. Who will be in charge of our group, if anyone?"

"Officially, Lord Fillmore Corbray, but he's the only worthy one of the bunch, anyway. But, practically speaking...you're Dornish, not a northman." Her arched eyebrows says the rest.

Frances nodded. "You will know all you wish when I return, milady. Is there anything else?"

"Take some of the good wine with you. Seven know it'll be hard to find out there." Selyse returned to selecting a dress for a dinner.

Frances took a bottle of wine and put it in his bag before making his way through the streets to the south gate.

At the gates, he sees Lord Corbray arrive. The young lord has his sword at his side and a small but strong-looking horse. He nods to Ser Frances. "Good to know that Dorne, at least, has the manners to be punctual."

Dacey shrugged.
"Any who is skilled in the arts of war. Maybe someone stealthy too, such as myself. But you need someone who is a skilled general to assess the troops too."

"Lord Corbray," Frances says with a nod. "Dorne ever strives to be the best at what we do. Where exactly will we be going?"

"Obviously I'm sending Fillmore Corbray." Aaron seems to be thinking of something else. "But something Malryas said...a tool for the task. I've heard you have no trouble defending yourself in a fight?"
Lord Fillmore shrugs ever so slightly. "Following this road south to some Targaryen fortress called Conqueror's Keep. Well, I guess that's what it translates to in this tongue of theirs. Once we've seen whether these dragons are worth helping, then we come back." He considered. "Who knows, we may see that dragon in action."

"That's true. I'm skilled with daggers and with the longbow as well," she explained. "So I'm not the type who would stand in pitched battle with sword in hand. but I can defend myself, of course."

Once we've seen whether these dragons are worth helping, then we come back." He considered. "Who knows, we may see that dragon in action." Frances grinned. "With any luck we'll have some Ghiscari to kill ourselves." He thought about seeing the dragon in action, wondered if normal men would be afraid. Shrugging it off he went on. "Who else will be going with us?"
