"We're going to have to," the captain said absently. The winds begin to pick up, and Leona sees the giant white walls on the horizon that signify the roiling sea. The two fleets are maneuvering, and it appears even in the face of the approaching hurricane a battle is imminent. As Leona watches the clouds race, the first droplets from the outlying clouds begin falling, and waves sparked by the storm begin crashing into the giant ship's side.
Belowdeck the slaves hear the thumping of the water against the thick wood, and they can see the approaching fleets through the portholes on the vessel. The crew are beginning to bellow to each other as outside their room the sounds are growing louder and louder. One of the twin girls gets seasick into a pail usually reserved for waste.

Rowan looks about for something more solid to cling to. If they find nothing then they stick where they are. Not enjoying the ride much but they hope they are used to the ocean enough to not puke.

The slaves can cling to the porthole bars or the door if they want. The storm is definitely growing stronger with every passing minute.

Still up on deck, Leona looked for something to hold onto as well. She had a horrible feeling about the storm.

About twenty minutes passes as the storm approaches, and when it hulits al the fury in the world seems to come with it. Raindrops the size of bullets fall from the sky as the crew tear the sails down and waves a hundred feet high slam the dozens of warships. Leona is sent to the captain's cabin as the Pirates go to keep afloat.
Hours pass as the water pours aboard and the galleon nearly capsizes more times than can be counted. The slaves see only black waves and white foam and they hear screaming and crashing as it continues, and what could be an entire day later they finally hear the crack of the masts as the timber finally gives out. Water is rushing into the vessel from a dozen holes now and the door breaks free from the wall. Through the hole in the hull the slaves all see a gigantic wall of water, seemingly taller than the world, approaching the crippled ship with a speed I imagined by the ones who had never seen a proper hurricane.
When it hits they hear only the smashing sound of wood cracking, and They swear they see a gigantic tail come out of the water before the solid mass of water smashed into them and blackness comes...

When it reaches too much Rowan finally pukes. When they see the wall of water they scream high and shrill in very feminine sounding fear and horror before the darkness encloses them.

Leona felt a moment of sheer panic, followed by the sensation of being drenched. She felt cold to her bones and then she passed out.
