"Sure," the guard says absently. For the next few days life is slow, and no word of the escape attempt is heard. Rumors abound; the escapees were all hanging outside the gates, they had commandeered a shop and escaped, and more outlandish ideas. All is a slow rhythm until the day the Gray Eagle arrives, the gigantic galleon coming to take them to places unknown...
(Finishing Marie's thread and then you two meet up and it's party time)

Only thirty of the five hundred slaves on Safe Hold await the mammoth ship as it approaches, the rest being saved for later. Rowan and Abigail note the thirty are all females or teen boys, and on the deck of the great warship dozens and dozens of slaves are unloaded and driven like cattle to the tents they had just vacated. The captain of the ship, a tall woman with a bravo's blade, waves. "Welcome aboard!" She said. "Next stop is home for the lot I' ye." Next to her, in a fancy but skimpy red dress, is a red haired woman with a short sword somewhat implausibly attached to a belt at her side. The captain kisses her cheek and then waves them aboard.

Leona hesitated and turned to Lyla. She was desperately unhappy about her captivity and certain things that had happened as a result but trying to put a brave face on it. And she had one last idea, one attempt to save herself from slavery. "Are you sure you don't need another member of the crew? I'd rather be a pirate than a slave." OOC - I hope the dress doesn't clash with Leona's hair

Abigail is one of the thirty brought on board, clutching her hand to her chest as she looked down at the floor. As they moved on board she briefly looked up at the two women before her eyes dropped down again.

Lyla chuckled. "You're already bought and paid for, my dear," she said. "But I will see what my dear friends will want for you. You have made voyaging rather more pleasant," she said, slapping her ass to a laugh from the crew.
Abigail is ushered into a room with Rowan and two other women and a man. The women aren't more than sixteen but the man looks to be in his late thirties, stocky like a bull.
Rowan's axes are probably packed away in one of the many crates on board.

Rowan grumbles a bit indistinctly but is meekly herded on board. They look about their assigned room and give each person a once over before saying 'Allo.' To the room in general.

Leona said to Lyla "And I thought pirates were in the business of claiming what others have paid for." She looked around rather nervously. As little as she'd welcomed certain of Lyla's more personal attentions, what she would face from the people who'd bought her could potentially be much worse.

The big man nods to Rowan and is otherwise silent. The girls shiver. "Does...does anyone know where they're taking us?"
//
Lyla nodded. "Tis true," she agreed, "but the living pirates know they can't offend every potential ally." She looked about as they were loaded up. "Tomorrow morning we set sail. Twelve hours' leave to all crew except those on guard."

Leona shivered. She was growing desperately afraid of her future. But she had no more words to move Lyla (perhaps it would be easier if she were actually attracted to the woman) so she simply stood and waited.

Abigail shook her head at the question. "I... I don't know..." She said, her voice quiet and fearful. She didn't know what else to say, what else to do. They were all trapped here. "Maybe we will be rescued?"

"Ain't going there," the big man growled. "We're headed to some island." He shook his head. "There's some fleets out east, but they won't know we need rescuing," he drawled out. "And if it's the Ironborn finding us I'd sooner take my chances with slavery."
