Robyn's eyes glassed over briefly before coming to light again. "I have met them, and I can confirm everything they say. The Ironborn are just as cut throat and opportunistic as you will no doubt have heard."

Elissa nodded. "It would have seemed almost a let-down if they were not. I hope that they put those qualities to good use, and not to the detriment of the Goldlands. But who can know the mind of a pirate? Not me. IAnd better to have the Ironborn as allies than enemies, don't you think?"

"You think it is good to have allies who have a reputation for being cut throat and opportunistic?" she asked, crossing her arms, and made a small noise of surprise before seeming to dismiss it as a matter of little consequence. "are you taking part in any of the events?"

"I haven't decided yet," Elissa admitted. "I don't joust, but perhaps the melee. As for allies, no, I don't think it's good to have cutthroat allies, but I'd rather have them on my side than facing me on a battlefield. What of yourself? Are you competing?"

"The melee. Would be good to see another woman in there," Robyn admitted, "I will of course participate in the archery. Though perhaps I would sit it out this time."

"I'm no archer," Elissa admitted. "I enjoy watching tests of skill, however. I hope there are many skilled combatants in each contest."

"Of course there will be, except the wrestling, the Crowl sighed up for it, abd the names suddenly fell of, the man is terrifying unarmed." She admitted, looking st her own hands.

"Ah, the wrestling. I thought of competing but it's not really appropriate for a woman of my status. Poor Tom would have a fit if I entered. I don't know this Crowl, but I will certainly keep an eye on him."

"You can't miss him," Robyn said, "I come up to his elbow, and that is no exaggeration. Did you come here with Joanna?"

"Yes. You know Her Grace well, I presume? I am rather less well acquainted with the queen. My lifestyle has taken me far away from the court on many occasions"

"I have known her a long time, " Robyn replied, shrugging, "She and lead very different lives in very different locations, so I know exactly what you mean. Tell me about one of your adventures?"

"Well, there was the time Tom and I got drunk on summerwine and ended up in a pleasure barge along the Rhoyne. We got very lost that night. And poor Tom almost ended up as some widow's paramour, until I rescued him."

Robyn nodded slowly, that was not really the kind of story she had in mind, but if that was the most adventurous thing. The woman was from the Goldlands, perhaps that constituted adventure there? "I am sure I would be very sad if my husband almost became someone elses paramour, it would make me very sad indeed you must be very happy you got him back in one piece"

"Well, I was pretty angry at first. The widow looked like a goddess come to earth. Poor Tom near lost his virtue to her." She winked. "I've never let him forget that I had to thrash her bodyguards to set him free. Althogh we've had much better fights than that. The Sealord of Braavos' guard gave us good sport."

"when did you battle them?" she asked suddenly a lot more interested.
