"I already told you." he said evenly, meeting her eyes across the flames. "Experience. You may not have claimed any heads of note, but I have."

"Who says I have not?" she asked, raising her eyebrow. "And you keep talking, but I am not hearing any names."

"I've killed witches in the Neck, outlaws in the North, brigands in the West, and kidnapped a Targaryen princess under the Northern king's nose." he replied, statement of fact rather than boast. "Just to name a few jobs you may or may not have heard of."

"Never heard of a one." Mysaria said shrugging, "other than the name Targaryen." she shrugged, clearly not knowing to be impressed, "sounds like plenty. So, who do you think we should go after?"

"Suppose that happens when a sea separates the stories." he remarked, considering her question. "Lordsbane has been at large for a long time, was here recently and seems to have set up camp in the Marches with a band of outlaws. He may have contacts in Pentos we can get into contact with, present ourselves as veterans of the recent turned outlaws looking to join his gang. It will get us close and the lie isn't far enough from the truth we can't play the parts."

"sounds like a plan. Except why would a westerosi veteran, someone who won the war, need to do such?" she asked, not a criticism, more a curiosity

"Sellswords aren't known for being a frugal lot." he actually chuckled at that. "Most of those that walked away with bags of gold from Myr will have spent it all on whores and booze in a matter of months, then look for more work or turn their swords to the easy money on the highways to get another taste of that life. We'll hardly raise an eyebrow."

"if you say so. Pentos it is, to whatever end." she nodded, "this guy had better pay well. Who is after him?"

"Lord Qorgyle, a Dornish lord, for murdering his brother. Bounty was 150 gold dragons when it was first posted almost a decade ago. Likely much more now." he answered, unrolling a mat to sleep on. "Ever been to the Marches or Westeros in general?"

"Never. I never wanted to. Westeros is a backwards dirty heap of land. No offence. They have great military might, but in everything else... backwards. Except their slavery stance." She had always slept in watches before, so assumed they would do the same now, so did not prepare for sleep.

"No arguments here." he grunted as he laid down, certain that if he was a product of his environment, he was the last one who should object to her summary of it. "If you're going to take first watch, best know I'm a light sleeper and the amount of coin I have on me isn't worth the effort of trying to slit my throat." he added, as if discussing the weather.

"You already told me you're light, I'd not had entertained this conversation if I was going to kill you." She rolled her eyes,

"You'd be surprised the number of folks who have ignored that disclaimer." he said, curling up to sleep. "And I just cleaned my blades and would rather not have to again tonight."

"Then don't do anything stupid," she counted, "you're into your sleeping time now, so you know."

"Lucky I don't need much." he feel asleep quicly, over a decade spent on a wet stone floor had left his thin mat feeling like a feather bed. He slept with a clear conscience.
