"Aye, murky waters that run deep. I almost wish the days when we did not have to concern ourselves with diplomacy." Killion replied. "If only they could be tamed as the flying beasts." he mused. "I would like to see one myself before the Drowned God calls be to his halls."

"They would be fair useless tamed," the ambassador says. "They only go where they can go, the deepest parts of the sea, far from land. A fitting metaphor indeed. Beasts that fly feel at home everywhere, yet the ground or sea has no haven for them. At sea, none face the kraken."

"Some learn that lesson slower than others." the Ironborn king remarked, nodding. "Speaking of omens, has Her Grace had any premonitions of note lately?"

"Probably, Your Grace," he said, "but she shares those with peers, not subordinates." He bows. "Regretfully, I am not a peer."

"A pity. One more excuse to visit Slayer's Bay." he replied amiably. "I will send some casks of Tyroshi pear brandy and Myrish firewine back with you for her enjoyment. Will that be all?"

"Your Grace," he said, bowing again. "your generosity is a credit to your realm," he rises and leaves.

True to his word, Killion has the samples of the evidence sent to each of the continental monarchs. He then called forward any other ambassadors or petitioners of import.

Harwyn marches into the Great Hall, crew and whoever else followed in tow. If Killion's wife is not there, a request is sent for her to meet him.

Queen Tristessa is on the throne, a look of blank rage on her face. She is surrounded by various retainers, but she arches an eye as Goodbrother enters. "The funeral is at dawn," she said tersely. "I want the fleet leaving ten minutes after that."

Harwyn bows before the Queen before smiling. "We will be ready, and the North will burn. The Kingdom is now without a King, however. The Ironborn are not a people known for their obedience, and there are concerns that things may fall into chaos while this war is waged. While my men and I, and the lords that follow us, are loyal to the king's family, we need an Iron grip to steer us through these troubled times."

Tristessa nods, taps her fingers together, then drives a dagger into one of the Tyroshi wailing near her, stabbing over and over with a manic fury. When she finally rises, she looks up and brushes her frazzled hair back behind her ear, apparently calm again. "My son is the king," she said. "And I have no shortage of iron." She looks about, as Menion and the others stare. "Are there any debates on the subject?"

Harwyn's smile turns vicious before he bows again. "None, my Queen. We will return when the North is ash and blood."

////////////////////////////////
Following his retreat from Myr, Kraznys and his men (7.000?) arrive in Tyrosh. The Captain and his Honest Men follow directly to Krakenhall, where he expects to find some answers to whatever the fuck is he supposed to do next. Needless to say, he is not in one of his best moods, especially considering the fact that now he answered to a woman and her toddler, both of whom he'd never seen before. The Mercenary and his men had sworn to Killion and to avenge him was their duty, but from that point on, no one guaranteed their future as vassals, there was no more Myr and no more King to bind them to the Greyjoys.
"Your grace, Captain Kraznys of the Ivory Host..." Lysergio made the introduction to Queen, as the Captain bowed still having difficulty with the Western formalities.

Queen Tristessa smiles from her throne, her perfect teeth a bright counter to her blood red lips. "Magister," she said. "My late husband said many good things of your work." She tapped he arms of her throne. "I trust that wishing for lands and cities hasn't been removed from your brain by this setback?" She leaned forward. "Westeros believes it has won already." She rolls her neck. "They are sadly mistaken. Are you with us? I understand you started as mercenaries. Fighting for gold is more honorable than fighting for honor," she said, "for you only fight for what you need."

"Your grace, I will be sincere as my masters taught me to be in my youth..." Kraznys started explaining, he wondered if the Queen would be able to understand him through his thick Ghiscari accent. "Your Husband, may the gods have him, was a good man, an honorable man. He had strength unlike any I've seen in my life. I saw in him someone I could call King, even if it meant going against the philosophy I've followed throughout the last decades of my life." The captain paused, clearing his throat and trying to remember the translation of the speech he had prepared. "Me and my men, we will honor his memory. We have vowed to follow our contracts to the very end, and so shall we do. The Host will avenge him, your grace; the traitor Benjen Stark shall crumble beneath the weight of my beasts, his name shall be cursed to eternity and his lands will burn like Myr burned before us. That I can promise you."
"Unfortunately, Myr is lost. There is no more hope in the East. Only Vaghus and his dragon stand against the Volantene war beast." He said coarsely; The Captain imagined that the Ironborn naval supperiroity would, at least, confine the Volantene to the continen; this keeping Tyrosh safe. "Send us to the West, let us face the traitor and his northman, let the greenlanders cower before the thunder of my elephants." By Ironborn definition he himself would be considered a Greenlander, but this was not about semantics, this was about making a point.
