Essentially another solar, but a bit more spacious and official-looking.

The representative of the Kingdom of the Iron Islands was the last to arrive, a young Tyroshi with blue lips and greyscale scars marring the left side of his face. He is accompanied by a Braavosi bodyguard and handful of armed men to serve as escort. Amusingly enough there was not a single Ironborn in the group. It seemed the reavers had learned to outsource their diplomatic needs to those better versed in it. The representative was shown into the chamber, where the queen was already present. Since he had give no name, he was just announced as an ambassador to the king of Iron Islands.

Trajys conveniently typically preferred to work without one. He bowed respectfully as he entered, well versed in the customs of this backwater continent. He glanced around at the opulent wealth on display, in stark constrast to the spartan decor favored by his new employers.
"I am honored to make your acquaintance, your grace, and that you made time in your no doubt suffocating schedule to make time to see me privately." he said, words laced with honey, with a smile that would have been charming were it not for the way it made the greyscale-afflicted half of his face pull tight.

Joanna, however, usually preferred to know who she was speaking to, but figured it wasn't too important in this case. "Welcome to Casterly Rock," she replied with a polite smile. Sadly, she had seen far worse than his face, so she remained completely unfazed by it.

"You are gracious host, an impressive feat with so many guests." he remarked, with a bow of his head and a knowing smile. "It seems you have no shortage of friends."

"You are most generous," she replied, returning the smile. "One can never have too many friends; at least, this is what they say. I assume you have come here because King Greyjoy shares the same sentiment?" she asked, not unkindly.

"Well, all respect to "they" but having too many friends can dilute the meaning of the word. If everyone is your friend then no one really is." he dabbed the tip of his tongue to the corner of his blue lips, as if cleaning a speck of food that was not there. "I suspect that was a phrase coined by merchants rather than monarchs."
"But you are correct that I am here for that very reason. I received your raven on King Killion's behalf. I was a surprising gesture, though far from unwelcome."

"Very true," she agreed. "People who claim to have a lot of friends must not really know anyone that well, which does not strike me as very trustful."
"That is good to hear. Peace has already proven to be far more prosperous to our respective kingdoms than the opposite," she said. Granted, half the Iron Islands were currently inhabited by walking corpses, but.. in general.

"Indeed, I have counseled my new masters that peace is the far more prosperous endeavor, especially now that they have a self-sustainable kingdom. They no longer need to feed of the scraps of more prosperous neighbors." he added, with a pointed glance, choosing not to remark on the recent tragedy in the Iron Islands. "It is time for a New Way to rise."

"How good of him to surround himself with sound counsel," she offered, thinking it was about time the Ironborn finally joined everyone else in the civilized world. "An alliance between our lands against this Order sounds quite favorable, does it not?"

"It is hardly an alliance when every kingdom save Dorne and the Kinglands seems to desire them dead, not to mention half the East, but I see not reason we cannot aid one another in being rid of them." he agreed. "I have also been authorized to negotiate the return of the Shields for the right price, as we do not wish to hold territory which would foster any animosity. Covetous eyes start more wars than anything else and in our hands they are a sword hanging over the Mander rather than a shield protecting them."

"Quite so," she said with a nod, and allowed a small smile, though this was definitely going to be extremely costly. "And what would he deem to be the right price, I wonder?"

"That depends on what peace of mind is worth to you." Trajys replied, with a small smile of his own. "The Iron Islands are in need of reconstruction and I assure you that the coronation present the king had commissioned for you was quite costly."

"A coronation present? I am intrigued, and inclined to have something commissioned for His Grace as well," she replied, with a pleasant smile now. "Perhaps we can figure something out. As you most likely recall, there is another property of ours currently in your possession.. surely the poor Lord Farman would like his seat back, and I am sure he'd be willing to add a nice sum to the total in order to retrieve it. I am willing to pay for the reconstruction of all your islands, in exchange for the Shields and Fair Isle," she said.

"I am here to discuss the return of recent acquisitions. The Ironborn have held Fair Isle for just shy of a century now." Trajys reminded the queen. "They are more Ironborn than Goldland at this point. If Your Grace has allowed Lord Farman's grandchildren to retain the presumed lordship of Fair Isle, I only hope the empty title has given them some peace of mind. I have not been authorized to negotiate its sale, just that of the Shields. If you wish to discuss the return of lands lost well before either of us were born, I fear we will be at this for a long while."
"My employers do not sell lands paid for with blood lightly. The Shields, and with them control of the Mander, are surely worth that alone, a pittance for your kingdom I have no doubt. Otherwise, perhaps King Aaron will understand their value. I am sure he would pay a king's ransom for unopposed access to the heart of the Reach."
