Lyonel gave a short bow. "I thank you Your Grace. If I may, I would like to meet with your captains and appraise the strength of the kingdom. Can we rely on all the lords supporting your cause?"

"Of course you may," said Joanna. "The only completely reluctant one I can think of was Lord Crakehall, and well.. you must know what happened to him," she said, somewhat regrettably. He would have been found guilty anyway, and the entire debacle of a trial could have been avoided if she'd just ordered to have him beheaded in the first place. Perhaps this was a pointer for the next time something like this was to happen.
"I'll call upon them on the morrow. You're very welcome to stay in the castle meanwhile."
