"It is a fool that thinks he's going anywhere once dead, let alone thinking he has the ability to forge something out of nothing." Crow states to his comrades, "we are sacks of meat waiting for someone to come along and eat us, this guy is a puppet in a meat shell. Worth less then the tasteless leaf on someone's plate."

Maekar eyed the cannibal with a look of bemusement, and astonishment at his words. He looked back out at the wasteland in front of them. "I don't think I could have said it better myself", his crackling voice giving his words a feeling of finality, at least for him.

Oriax stared down at Crowl for a long time, clearly trying to make sense of the inane words he had seemingly haphazardly strung together. Finally he put his hand over his face and massaged his brow. Apparently even gods could still get migraines.
"You have the honor of being the most small-minded man I met on this small-minded continent, Crowl, an impressive feat especially considering the man you serve. However, you are correct on one count. You are all just meat."

(Ooc. If he has a migraine that means he can't focus on his magic right?)
"I always aimed to serve." Crowl states honestly.

"Enough of this talk," Amelia stated, fed up with the arrogant babble. "We all know why we're here. Let's end this."

"You never did have any patience. It is why you will always be a middling sorcerer at best." Oraix chided shaking his head. "But very well, I would be a poor host to deny my guests. Come on then. Take the hill, win the day, and all that worthless bravado you upjumped apes spout to justify your barbarism."

Amelia rolled her eyes and extended her hand and threw a ball of flame aimed at Oriax's chair, turning to the others as she did so. "Charge now!!"

"Upjumped.. Justify..." Crow mutters under his breath trailing off each word wondering when he ever tried to justify being himself, as the attack begins.

As he watches the meat puppets come at him, the god-empowered sorcerer looks absently at his crystal dagger, then the edge of it starts glowing, brighter than the sun, looking to a modern eye like an arc welder as he surgically moves it up and across and into the shape of a door, and the adventurers see the very air opening like it is steel being hit with a cutting torch, only this is not metal but the very fabric between realms. "Let me show you what awaits after death," he offers. "Proof that you are all, one way or the other, mine." Stepping from the portal are a few figures, shapeless at first, but they comes into solidity after a few seconds. Harrys Snow, Justin Mallister, Cassadar, Richard Grafton, and Jeddicus step through, along with two dozens others no one knows, all slain in Oriax's sight or by his very hand. "The very choicest of my fine collection," he intoned, carelessly waving them into battle.

Crowl goes for Richard Grafton, the bastard stole his friend from him. There was some very necessary payback that needed to go down.

Sorcerous Retorts:
Amelia: 147 Riley: 134
Shadow and fire combine to smash into Oriax's forming army, the newly dead Asshaiian sorcerer blocking much of the damage with a shield of some sort. Four of the spirits dissipate.

Maekar's eyes grow wide as the men pour out, and then he sees Crowl take off for one of the figures. "Shit, it's now, or never." His voice is hoarse, and he barely gets the words out before he spots Cassadar, and decides on him as his first victim.

Dud charges on his horse toward Mallister. The new Lord of Seagard can't be having Mallisters popping up out of no where after all.

The battle takes form as the Crowl challenges Richard, Lord Dudley takes on the former lord of his castle, maekar challenges the former terrorist Cassadar, Riley is forced into a duel with Harry's Snow, Cassana takes advantage of her dragon fueled immunity to fire and challenges Jeddicus, and Amelia and Nick are stuck trying to slow down the dread sorcerer himself. That leaves Ilvar and Kalvin to try dealing with eighteen extremely upset ravenous spirits.
