Robyn, Lyria, Nick and maybe Mychel Tully arrive at Eddard's Rest. The mood of the party seems... dour.

After traveling to White Harbour, Benjen and the host of people arrive at the gates of Eddard's Rest.

Benjen waits until all have gathered - Cassana, Lyria, Gerold, Julia, Kyle and whoever else before setting off. He'd also sent letters to both Dudley and the Crowl to meet them at Winterfell with all the men they had.

Cassana comes out in full armor, red and more red, and a silver cloak, her spear red shafted with a black iron tip. Lyria is in all green, but gods know what she can do to the colors anyway. Kyle is in all black, the serious and quiet young man frowning at the thought of his betrayal. Julia is in leather armor and has a shitload of new arrows. Word is the small host assembling has made it to Moat Cailin, so they will probably reach Winterfell about the same time.

Benjen nods at his strange but capable group of warriors (forgot Gerold had left) before climbing onto his horse and making for Winterfell. He had instructed a servant to lacquer his armour completely black, in honour of the fallen brothers of the Night's Watch.

The fact he now resembles Rhaegar Targaryen is completely coincidental. Cassana looks about. "So, then," she said as they set off. "I guess seeing Winterfell will be nice. I've heard so many stories."

"It's a beautiful castle, truly - even more so when it's snowing," Benjen said, a smile appearing on his face at the thought of visiting Winterfell again. Then he remembered why they were going and frowned. "The Neck is going to be the worst of it but we should make good time."

"I remember Moat Cailin," she said. "Isn't that where the Reeds are?" She is mostly trying to test her memory on the geography of the area.

"Near there, yes," Benjen said as they rode. "The Reeds and other Crannogmen live in the swamps of the Neck, always moving around." He remembered the member of house Reed who had helped him so many years ago. "They're good people, if a little strange."

"Small," she said. "Is it true their castle actually moves? Sounds impossible."

"I have never seen it, though I think it might be a wooden structure that floats on the water," Benjen mused. "I wouldn't be surprised if it was a moving castle though... lot's of unbelievable things going on these days."

She chuckled. "Maybe we'll go visit one day." They set off.

Rather than sneak into the city through the shadows like some sort of an evil wizard, Amelia Royce arrives at the gates, asking to speak to King Terence.

She hears plenty of whispers while she rides through the town. The guards at the castle allow her in. King Terrence is listening to petitioners on his throne. He looks old, very old, and he has lost weight. He sees Amelia and makes a gesture and Captain Swiftriver clears the chamber for the day, sending the audience-seekers, somewhat ironically, to her father. He rises and points to his office. He takes a seat next to the queen and lets out a long breath.
