Quentyn's corsair, flying a flag of peace, pulls in to Myr after leaving Mason Keep. He has men posted in the rigging on the way in, trying to get a count on Myrish warships in the harbor.

There are dozens of galleons and even more of everything else. Thirty five on capital ships is a low estimate. The city is clearly priming for war. A corsair stops by. "Lord France's has declared war, 'mlord, if sail out as soon as possible! He ain't one for truces!" The man and his ship quickly continue on.

Fuck Lys, we're going back to Myr.
This time with 25 corsairs, Quentyn sails into the Sea of Myrth with the intent of ravaging its shores. The city proper is given a wide berth, but any Myrish outposts or farms are put to the torch. The sea's northern shores are their first target, followed by a swing south to check on Myrish holdings in the Disputed Lands. One ship takes point at all times, keeping a watchful eyes for the Myrish navy.
Naval raiding 90, scouting 52.
Nowhere to Hide: A successful (125+) Naval raiding roll improves a land raiding roll on the same or an adjacent target by +20, and vice versa. If both rolls on a target exceed 150, the target cannot raise troops for one in game month at all.
The Plunderer: While in an enemy's territory, the plunderer gains ten percent of their gold and resource generation and they lose ten percent. His raiding results are also increased by 25%.

Raiding: 162
Quentyn's men pillage and roast a whole shitload of resources and burn a lot of farms, towns, and more. The Disputed Lands are vast and the overall war machine may not be slowed at all, but he acquires many resources to fuel the armies of the Islands and he gets a chance to interrogate prisoners for information if he desires.

Quentyn leads 1,000 of his men inland to continue pillaging, leaving 500 behind to guard the ships.
Land raiding 70, +20 due to Nowhere to Hide.

Raiding 142
His men pillage much, before a half dozen of his men are slain by a single female archer mounted on a horse.

That fucking bitch.
They return to the ships, and move down the coast to loot some more.

As they move closer to the city, the raiders see increasingly large and better defended towns. The garrisons have much better discipline than the usual sellsword armies of the Free Cities, and from the prisoners they take it seems that Magister Dayne is in the process of reinforcing the city to become a fortress that makes Tyrosh look like a sand castle.

The prisoners are interrogated as to the specifics of the new fortifications, and the numbers at each garrison.

The outer garrisons nearby range from two hundred to two thousand men, and Myr's fortifications are being designed by a team of architects brought from all over the world to create a city entirely designed to cause pain. The walls are being piled higher and widened, the gates are being reinforced, and the streets are being rerouted in place to create alleys where archers can fire arrows at invaders even after the walls are breached.

One of the prisoners is thrown overboard, as an offering to the Drowned God. The flotilla continues to approach closer to Myr, but avoids any major engagements.

As they get to within forty miles or so of Myr they see the first patrol vessels. They also fail to engage but hang back, counting the raiders. Signal fires are lit.
