Riverrun is the ancestral castle of House Tully, the Lords Paramount of the Trident. It is situated in the western riverlands, at the point where the Tumblestone and Red Fork rivers meet. Riverrun is north of Pinkmaiden and northwest of Acorn Hall. The castle sits along the river road, which links Lannisport and the crossroads.
Lord Godric is the current lord.

The Tullys and more return. See Mychel has been summoned to help retake Dragonstone from the free cities but everyone else is there.

Arthur Tyrell and the members of his immediate family, including his mother and step-father, arrive at Riverrun for the marriage between Arthur and Lord Godric's granddaughter. With term are fifty members of their party, including guards, ladies in waiting and the like.

River run decorates festively for the occasion, and the crisp autumn air is perfect for a wedding. The dowry is respectable and more than adequate, and the old joking lord is in high spirits. "You know what to do tonight, right lad?" He grins, slapping the young lord on his back.

Arthur grinned back. "I hope so, my lord. I hope your granddaughter will not find it displeasing."

"Varena loves this," he assured him. "The wedding will be tonight as the sun sets over the Red Fork! Food and music and more!"

Arthur continued to smile broadly. He was politically astute enough to realise the benefits of a marital alliance with the powerful Tullys. Her brother would be the next Lord of Riverrun. And Varena was a pretty girl of his own age, who he was looking forward to bedding and she seemed biddable as well. She hopefully would bear him an heir fairly quickly.
"You are a generous host Lord Godric." he said. "I look forward to again seeing my bride."

The wedding itself is set up rather seamlessly. Lord Tully had done a much larger one barely a year and a half prior, so this was old hat to him now. Varena is dressed in a white dress with red trim and has her cloak about her shoulders. She smiles. "My lord," she said in her quiet voice. "I look forward to seeing my new home."

"I look forward to showing it to you. It is in a beautiful part of the Reach. I am sure you will happy there as the Lady of Brightwater Keep. Have no fear though." he said, with a smile, "I am sure we will visit Riverrun often. And of course your kinsmen will always be welcome at Brightwater Keep."

"Of course," she said. "I want to see Oldtown. I've never been to a REAL city, just Eddard's Rest."

Arthur chuckled. "Then when we return to Brightwater Keep, we will visit Oldtown to see the sights. It is something to behold."

"Good!" she said. "I want to talk to Arania anyway. We have something to discuss."

Arthur raised an eyebrow at this sudden announcement. "You do? How do you know Arania Hightower?"

"She was at Eddard's Rest the whole war. I was a maid for the Queen. We aren't the best of friends but we both love to read," she said.

Arthur smiled, ready to indulge his new bride if he could. "So you wish to discuss books?"
