"It seems that the Tullys of Riverrun and the Tyrells of Brightwater have much in common, my lord." replied Cersei. "We the Tyrells now submit to Oldtown, while the Riverlands are part of the kingdom of the North. Still, of you were agreeable, taking one of your grand-daughters as a bride would be an honor for my son."

"Of course it'd be an honor!" He roared in good humor. "Your son get his looks from you? Can't send Varena to some Wildling looking fellow like that Banefort."

"Cersei shuddered inwardly at the thought of marrying someone like Orson Banefort.
"My son is comely enough although mothers might be accused of bias. But I can assure you he looks nothing like a Wildling."
She paused? "So it is to be Varena you say? They are of an age?"

"Fifteen," he said. "She's all flowered and all and she asks me for a handsome knight all day every damn day. And unlike a fair chunk of us her mother followed the Seven and she has kept to their ways. Not like is heathens," he winked.

Cersei smiled, pleased at the prospect. The girl seemed to be perfect for her son.
"Now we seem to have come to an agreement, our families should become better acquainted? Are all your grandchildren here at Masons Keep?"

"Just a few. They eat too much to travel with," he joked. "And some are already we'd off, you know. My grandson Mychel is here and Varena and Lilith and Wenda."

"Then perhaps Arthur should experience some Tully hospitality." declared Cersei happily. "An invitation to dinner tomorrow night, my lord?"

Arthur and Cersei arrive at the appointed time the following evening. Both are dressed in the Tyrell green edged with gold embroidery, although, Arthur's doublet is emblazoned with the two Tyrell roses of Brightwater Keep. "My lord Godric," says Cersei formally,, "May I introduce to you, my son Arthur Tyrell, Lord of Brightwater Keep and once heir to Highgarden."

"Once heir to Highgarden? Is that a title?" he asked. "But," he said. "My son Mychel," the man nods politely. "My daughter Varena," he said, gesturing to a small, pretty red haired girl. "So then, hope you're hungry." A big meal is laid out.

Arthur greeted both of Lord Godric's grand-children in turn, clasping Mychel's hand and taking Varena's hand and kissing it. He turned to Lord Godric and laughed ."My mother regards my former station as almost a title. But for the moment I am the Lord of Brighwater Keep. Still smiling, he eyed the groaning table "It appears the Riverlands are as bountiful as the Reach."

"At least," Godric said. Everyone takes a seat. Varena nodded.
"I hope your lands are this fertile. I do enjoy peaches from the south," she said.

"Some parts of the Reach will take a while to recover from the war, but Brightwater Keep is not amongst them." replied Arthur. "Fear not my lady, we have plenty of peaches."

Varena smiled. "Good. Tell me about it, then," she said. "Where is your favorite place there? Are there mountains or waterfalls or forests?"

Arthur smiled. "We have one of the most fertile lands in the entire Reach and we're famous for our oranges, wheat, melons and sheep. The climate is warm but not hot like Dorne. Brightwater Keep is near the headwaters of the Honeywine River, so we have waterfalls and woods aplenty. The riverside is very beautiful."
