"It sounds it," she said, "it's chance really, who will run, who will fight. You can never know, but if you had not gone, then there would be a pocket to rally behind, even somewhere for frances sand to go and hide and regroup, a cornered snake. You just get no recognition without bloodshed," she said, "I'm sorry your your banners kin, all wars are senseless killing, but that war was the most senseless I have heard."

"Bryce needed killing, no matter the cost," he replied. "He was senseless. The war was not." He shook his head. "If only war could end wars."

"I mean it senseless that so many died for the actions of one man, I know he needed to be stopped, but it was not even for conquest or anything like that, that is what i mean by senseless, without that one man, that whole war would not have happened."

"True," he said. "Do you think he had any regrets, other than having his head caved in?" Mychel shrugged. "I hope he didn't. That'd mean he had a choice. A man has no regrets...they're just following fate, I think."

"I don't believe in fate, I think fate is what people use to justify coincidence and their own grey decisions. You always have a choice," Robyn disagreed.

"But if you can't go back and change it," he said, "is there really a difference?"

"Just because you can't change it, doesn't mean it was the only path open, you choose which direction to go, even if you can't change what's happened, you can choose what will, or how you face it. " she countered, with a shrug, looking out over the water.

There is a rapid in the river, a huge rock to the left and a small waterfall to the right. "Like picking which obstacle to overcome," Mychel said.

"Would you choose the rocks or the waterfall?," she asked and smiled, "your answer may or may not factor into my decision."

He looks and dives into the river, sliding over the eight foot waterfall. He makes a giant splash as he passes through the rapids. "We could do both!" he calls out.

Robyn looked down at the constricting dress, she really wanted to go swimming... Her mother would likely disown her if she went in the dress. She pulled the dress off so she was in her under dress and bodice and dived in after him. Following his path to the waterfall, laughing as the current pulled her over the edge.

The rocks do hurt, but it is still fun. Mychel is floating in the deep pool it forms. "Well, our fate that way left me with a bruised thumb. What could the rock do?" he said, sorta but kinda not really trying to not look too directly at her.

Robyn is not opposed to getting roughed up a bit for a bit of excitement.
"Rocks provide stability, which is why they hurt when you crash into them, if we went for the rock. you and I could have sat on it all day, undisturbed, she said with a grin, shaking her hair out to stop it plastering to her face.
She rubbed her arm where she had scraped it, a graze appearing on the outer side of her bicep. She joined him in the deeper area and treaded water, Last time i went swimming in a river like this a Giant jumped in and i ended up sitting on the side"

Mychel laughed. "The giants...I didn't believe they were real until I saw one," he said. "Well, one of us could have sat on it. The other one would be either swept away b the current and back here, or sitting on the other person. So it'd be important that they were stable too!" he said.

"I would let you take the rock, and be swept away" she said, grinning at him, "everyone says that about them, how close did you get to one?"
