Hands of the king and Princes usually don't have problems getting into tents. Benjen gave a respectful nod to both Joanna and Tomas. "A convenient happenstance, how curious," He said. "I can only guess that this meeting would concern our political situation?"

"Oh we already made our acquaintance," he said, his eyes cold but his tone cordial enough. "As it happens I was just headed out." He scratches his nose as he leaves, then turns to the guard. "Let anyone else in unannounced again and you won't need to worry about any Ironborn," he said. "The Stranger is after my lady wife and this lapse will not be forgotten." He strides out easily, heading to his tent.

The guard hastily mumbled an apology.
Joanna took her seat again, and offered Benjen the one opposite her, glancing at Ser Cedric who was still standing by the side of the tent, somewhere behind Benjen, and wondered briefly if the prince had even noticed him. "You guessed correctly," she said, as if she'd not just sent Tomas away due to tiredness. "I hear you've become rather chummy with our western neighbours."

"Chummy is far from the word I would use to describe my relationship with the Ironborn," Benjen retorted, sounding a little offended. "If you are meaning to insult me then I think you can do better."

Joanna laughed softly. "You think?" she asked, as if finding the thought cute. "If I wanted to insult you, you'd most likely not realize it until the nightfall. But now that I have your attention.. is your father seriously considering peace with these people?"
