Separate or not, When Joanna arrives, her dear man stops to visit less than an hour later. He smiles widely at her. "My lady," he says cheerfully. "So nice to see you here. I hope your trip was smooth."

"Tomas," she greeted, glancing at him briefly from the arm chair she'd been sitting in. She'd not wanted to come to the festivities, but had eventually reconsidered so that her oaf of a husband wouldn't accidentally gamble away more lands in the negotiations process. "I trust you've been well?"
Ser Cedric was standing near the tent's opening, having been leaning on a tall chest, but stood a little straighter now that the Hand was there. Not because of any actual respect for the man, though.

He nods. "Well enough. Dealing with these...people grows tiresome," he said. He kisses her hand and then takes a seat. "You look lovelier than ever."

Joanna smiled at him, though not overly warmly. "And which of these.. people have you already dealt with?" she inquired.

"The usual, Tully, That odd Lord Arryn..." He pauses a half second. "Stark." He shrugs. "All seeming willing to let the Ironborn off the hook for their egregious crimes."

Joanna didn't seem too surprised. "Are they now? Then perhaps I should have a word with them as well," she mused. "Surely they can be reasoned with."

"I think they try reason too much, and reality too little," Tomas said. "What do you think?" He asked. "You know Ben Stark a bit better than I do."

Joanna's lips curled into a wry smile. "I'll have a word or two with Prince Benjen on the matter, don't you worry. Or perhaps his father, seeing as he is still technically the one calling the shots in the North, is he not? From what I've heard, king Terrence has no more love for the Ironborn than I do."

"You would know better than I do," he said. A few moments later he walks over to her and his fingers gently rub the base of her neck. "Peace is t possible with those savages," he mumbled. "I'll go talk to the king, unless you'd rather."

"You may of course talk to him so I don't flood him with topics," she said, and left it unsaid that she could always do damage control if he failed. She brushed off his hands after a moment, and stood to face him, flattening the collar of his shirt. "Unless this was it? I'm afraid I'm awfully weary from the trip."

Tomas thought a moment, watching her fix his collar. "You should have some rest, then," he agreed. He looks her over. "Would you like some company?"

She gave her husband a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine, thanks. We'll see each other later," she said. Unfortunately.

I just so happened that Benjen Stark showed up then. How miraculous.

Joanna looked at the prince, not at all surprised, though slightly annoyed that he'd been just admitted entrance like that, just like Tomas. She smiled at the northerner, finding this a little amusing. "Well, speak of the devil, and he shall appear. Prince Benjen," she greeted, and looked from her former husband to her current one. "Tomas here was just talking about meeting with you."
