Where the lord of the Dreadfort stays. He sends a message inviting Ser Lyonel to visit upon hearing of his interest in a meeting.

After a short while, Lyonel arrives at Lord Bolton's tent. Despite her entreaties, he had left his wife behind, not trusting her to not inflame matters. He knew how much she had hated her marriage to Lord Marbrand, short though it was.

Lord Cley is polishing his weapons and armor, putting a nice geam on them. He rises and offers a hand. "Ser Lyonel," he says. "I hope you're well."

Lyonel shook his hand and smiled. "I am Lord Cley."

Bolton finishes a gauntlet and offers a drink. "I hope Vikary Hall is as strong as ever," he said. "My wife has been trying to get used to the Dreadfort. It has had some redecorating," he admits with a chuckle.

Indeed Lord Cley. Your wife has brought a womanly touch to the Dreadfort? Perhaps not before time." he replied with a laugh.

"Well, a southern woman's touch," he laughed. "Our ladies don't mind the grim setting. Harsh winters and war make for a hard people," he said. "Can't rely on fancy looks you know. But it is nice, something new. How can I help you? Heard you've been asking around about seeing me," he said.

"Robyn Stark been talking to you has she? Yes, I thought it about time we met." replied Lyonel. "I've recently married. To the mother of your new wife, I believe.
He smiled, although the smile did not quite reach his eyes. "If I'm not mistaken, that makes us almost kinsmen."

"The Lady Cersei," he said. "Congratulations to you," he said. "I had heard she was to wed again. Does the lady wish to see her daughter?"

"I know she does." he replied. He hesitated for a moment gathering his thoughts.
"We are both soldiers, so I'll speak bluntly." he said finally. "We have a problem. As a consequence of the failed rebellion by Rycherd Tyrell, your wife's uncle, my lady wife was wed against her will to old Lord Marbrand. The marriage of her daughter to you was not done with her blessing. The Dreadfort has, shall we say, a fearsome reputation. My wife fears for her daughter. My stepson the Lord of Brightwater Keep fears for his sister, of whom he is very fond."

"That is a problem for you," Cley agrees. "Not a problem for me. I believe King Brynden is the man to take that complaint up with. But Eleanor is a few months along now, and she is traveling more slowly with some of the North's finest families. I expect her here by week's end. Your lady wife can speak to her then, if she wishes," he said. "And the Dreadfort has been the safest place in Westeros, these last forty years."

"It would be well, if you yourself could reassure her mother that your wife is safe and happy." Lyonel said. "And being able to see her daughter for herself would also help."

Cley shrugged. "When she arrives, I'm sure we can arrange a meal," he said. "I'll inform you upon her arrival."

Lyonel nodded in acceptance. "That is all I can ask."
He looked around at the other tents.
"A great gathering." he remarked. "I must admit I'm surprised to see the Ironborn here. They have raided both the Goldlands and the North in the recent disturbances. Will King Brynden and the Starks be able to accept their presence here without recrimination?"

Cley shrugs. "The Monarchs have declared a ceasefire for two months for the event. It'd be a horrible breach of honor to try upsetting that. Anyway, everyone capable of leading a real offensive are here and not leading armies."
