"There should be no lack of fun," Cley said. "I think Lord Kalvin will be here before too long. We do lack men to fully man the fleet at the moment, and the king expects him. I doubt two of these events will go that badly," he laughed. "I mean, I'll settle for no duels to the death or necromancers."

"Duels to the death have never been my favourite," Benjen said, pouring two cups of wine. "As for Kalvin... well, I've a boy here whom I want to foster at Winterfell. My eldest son."

Cley shrugged. "I'm sure he'll be thrilled," he laughed. "even if he is never there. His sister Melysa might be good for the lad. I'd have thought your two sons were a bit young to foster?" he asked. "Or has it been so long?"

Outside the tent they can hear Crowl's voice drunkenly signing about his love for skulls and whiskey. After a moment his voice fades out as he travels along the row of tents going to find another skull to collect.

"Or has it been so long?" Benjen looks to the tent wall for a moment at the Crowl's singing before turning back to Cley. "Rickon is almost four, but no... I have a boy who is nigh on five. A bastard with one of the Targaryens. I'd rather have the boy be loyal to me than to his crazy mother."

Crowl finds no skulls not currently attached to a living person.
Cley shrugs. "Interesting. I had heard Princess Daena has become quite the ruler of Mantarys. Her ships are at White Harbor frequently now." He looks outside. "Nothing says eleven in the morning like that man singing. Maybe we should send him to Tyrosh to do our finer negotiating."

Crowl loves the variety of skull that provides both dinner and a new skull for his collection.

"Well that is just fantastic," Benjen says to the comment about Daena's ships. "And aye, the Crowl would make a great ambassador. Give us what we want or he'll smash your head in and eat your brains." He grinned.

"But would he even give the option...?" Cley said. "We've been busy rousting out the last of the wildling outlaws, too. Your brother has come into his own, I think. Lord Kalvin and he have shortened dozens of them over the last eight months."

"Hector, huh? Making a name for himself in the North fighting wildlings, just as I did," Benjen stated, sounding proud. "I'll be happy to see my brother again. Likely he's taller and stronger than me now." He chuckled.

Cley shrugged. "I mean, he hasn't led armies to glory in every kingdom," he said, "but he should be around here somewhere. He came to the castle with us."

"Well damn it, let's find him then," Benjen said, rising to his feet. It had been far too long since he had seen Hector and the boy was no doubt a boy no longer. One tended to reach manhood going out and killing things with Kal Stark.

"Oh," Cley said, "I'm going to go get a drink. Some things are best left to family," he laughed. "I'd check the markets. I believe he was planning on spending some of his newly acquired spoils."

"Right then, I'll see you later," Benjen said before leaving.

Following their victory at the Sisters and reclaiming the Vale islands off the Fingers, the northern fleets' commanders arrive. Lords Stark, Manderly, and Umber are followed by Viktor Mormont, the lone male scion of the house after Malik Greyjoy's ruthless assault the year prior.
