The Great Pyramid of Meereen is blotted out by the arrival of the great black dragon Drogon. The emperor dismounts, looking about the city with thinly veiled annoyance, wrinkling his nose at the smell. He extends a hand palm upwards to the right. "Brother," he said, "you look well." He has a healing cut on his forehead and his usual flawless stride is interrupted slightly by a limp.
Sirius and the others are awaiting him under the shade of a canopy. "Vhagus...war doesn't seem to agree with you," he said. "But...welcome to Meereen." He gestures. "May I introduce Prince Benjen and Princess Robyn Stark?" Vhagus tips his imaginary hat.
"How nice to see you again, princess. The year has agreed rather well with you. Heroics and the like." He turns to Benjen. "I've heard your sword has covered itself in glory yet again. Bryce Dayne was no ordinary foe."

Benjen studied the man as he landed on his dragon, surprised by the cut on his forehead. Seemed even this dragon could bleed.
"He indeed was not," Benjen said, shaking his head. "Though I doubt he's the last abnormal enemy we will face. From the sounds of it these forces from Yi Ti fit the bill perfectly."

Robyn smiled slightly but didn't say anything. She noticed the limp. She had nothing against Vhagus personally. He'd not killed her once, nice of him, really.

Vhagus frowned a moment. "Yes, they are a different sort. Fight like ants, really; swarm and swarm and swarm regardless of how many die." He smiled a bit for some reason. "I would have liked to see the armies of Westeros united for the first time, perhaps in history," he said. "Must have been grand." He makes a face as his left leg bows involuntarily. "Having a worthy foe unites people, brings them together. Peace brings enemies, my prince."

"It was horrible," Benjen said to the unified army. "If only because so many of them died. Died because of a madman's ambition." He shook his head. "It has taught us a lesson however - that we must stand together. Against everything." He looked out at the distance for a moment, to where Vhagus had flown from. "But Bryce Dayne is the past now."

"He is," Vhagus said. "He had no vision, just rage. Tragic, in some ways. And the way he treated his daughter, well," he shook his head. "No call for that, truly." He looked about. "But I hope you have not forgotten the lesson of the importance of uniting. The world is a dangerous place, and your former allies already veer towards disunity and old grudges, I think." He looks about. "But I find myself with a powerful thirst. If we may find somewhere cooler?" Sirius leads them to a room with wine and a breeze. The emperor takes a seat, smoewhat painfully.

"Grudges are hard to forget, though no doubt you are not a stranger to such things," Benjen responded as they made their way to the room. He sat as well and took a cup of wine. "So who exactly is leading these forces of Yi Ti and what is their purpose?"

"Their God-king," he said. "He wants...well, it is hard to describe. He believes the gods are angry and punishing mankind for its sins, and only he can please them. How he does this is what I am not clear on." He shrugs. "They are a worthy foe, not boring like the forces of Volantis." He thought a moment. "And they have not been stirring alone. The Asshaiians who were in Westeros have scattered again, I hear. Causing all manner of oddities."

Crowl who was standing in the shade of one of the pavilions on the balcony stared not at the man but at his dragon hatefully, having bad memories from the last time he faced on. He follows the group into the cooler yet still hot room and took a seat in one of the corners after grabbing a glass of chilled liquid that he hoped had some alcohol in it.

"I knew one of those Asshaians," Benjen stated. "He worked for... with us for a while. Oriax. A man I never quite trusted. Last anyone heard of him he vanished somewhere north of the Wall. And now these rumours and murmurings..." He drank deeply from his wine and repoured it. "Alas, Westeros will not be able to lend any support against these forces from Yi Ti."

Vhagus smiled a bit. "A shame. Would have been...a breath of fresh air, being on the same side of a conflict a House Stark again, even for a while." He thinks a moment. "And no one has heard from Lord Oriax in a long while, hm? Or perhaps the sellsword he kept at his side?" He taps his fingers together. "He was a dangerous man, a match for any sorcerer in the world before he went north, before he slew your bastard uncle. If anyone could survive up there it is him. Him and his bountiful supply of weirwoods."

Benjen nodded, a worried expression on his face. "Would you perhaps be able to reach out in some way and see if you can sense his presence?" He asked. "I have asked Amelia to do so but she has had no success." He sipped his wine and studied the liquid's surface. "I myself do not need to return to Westeros yet and I would like to see the front lines against these Yi Ti forces. I need to see how they fight."

Vhagus sipped his wine carefully. "Interesting. That one never bothered hiding his presence before. He is still up there, I promise you. I do believe he seeks a form of frost to fight a dragon's flame." Sirius regarded Benjen carefully.
"The Jade border is two thousand miles east, but I am sure you and my sister can take Rhaegys there."

Benjen looked worried at the words about Oriax, chiding himself for not having asked Malryas to dispose of the man before losing track of him. They had utilized what had seemed as a necessary evil and of course that had gone wrong. It always does.
"Yes, we'll fly there," Benjen responded. "I've not tested my mettle in a while and a new, different challenge is exactly what I need. Perhaps we can analyze their tactics and figure out a weakness."

"If anyone can, it is you, I hear," Vhagus admitted. "My talents do not lie in the intricacies of troop movements." Sirius thinks.
"My host will be assembled and depart in one month, so you'll have to use Dothraki and whatever mercenaries Vhagus has hired."
