A settlement on the west coast beyond the Wall, Frosthome is rumored to be one of the prime sources of the mystery drug ravaging Westeros. The settlement looks to have about four or five hundred people as the great fleet of the Iron Islands arrive.

Ragnar took a few men and headed forward to look for someone who looked like an authority figure.

Pol and the reaver lord walk down the streets, the eight hundred Ironborn spoiling for a fight, but the town seems to be a bit away from the docks, probably to stop winter waves from wiping it clean, and the bitter chill wind blows. The villagers are sullen and quiet, and Ragnar has never seen a town so large feel so empty.
After a quarter mile or so, the men see a couple dozen women and children sitting cross legged around some sort of totem pole or the like; a twenty foot statue of black rock with strange and unfamiliar shapes carved into it. A man is leading them in some sort of heathen prayer. He looks to the arrivals and stares at them intently. "Who are you? Why brings you to the land of the Warm People?"

Ragnar fought the urge to demand answers at once. "We come from the Iron Islands on ythe west coast south of here. We are here to find out about a...substance that has been sold in our own lands. Can you help us?"

The man chuckles. "The Iron Islands! Yes, we have heard of these lands. The masters have said they are grim and cold, but nowhere is as cold as Frosthome. You speak of the Master's Kiss. He has kissed many," the man chuckles.

"Yes, I've heard that," Ragnar agreed, frowning. "Why is it that this Master's Kiss has come to our lands? We would prefer not to allow our people to be...kissed."

"Gold and magic and the will of the Master!" the man proclaimed, as his men look to Ragnar to just kill the loudmouth. "And the master says you have kissed many yourselves, whether they wished it or not. Many in the north, many more in the south, and many more still in the east. All kissed. All gone." The wind picks up a bit. "Perhaps you should speak to the Master about that, though."

"I will," Ragnar answered. "I will see him now. Bring him to me." He folded his arms across his chest and waited for the man to obey him.

The man smirked. As he does, a knight comes striding into view, wearing a black cloak with a white grapevine on it. A pale milky sword sits at his side. The knight removes his helmet and his black eyes narrow. "Ironborn," he says simply. "We meet again." His voice is deep and seems to reverberate. Behind him a small file of others come in, mostly wildlings, but some shambling looking men who seem to take no notice of the raiders. "It has been a long time since the Arbor."

Ragnar frowned again. "Redwyne? Prince Killion will be sorry to have missed you. What are you doing in this godforsaken part of the world?"

"I am glad he isn't here," the monotone voice answered. "He has not suffered enough yet. Not been bled of the little he cares for, not watched his life's joy wither away to the dust it crawled out of." He looked about. "But it is fitting to me that his own ships will help destroy him. I believe we are still at war, even if my loyalties still lay with the play kings of Westeros." He raises a hand and smiles grimly. "But the true lord of Westeros wishes to have ships, and ships he shall have. And a crew whose loyalty cannot be bought and sold and bribed." from the town, shambling figures crawl from the silent doors of the buildings. "After all, what is dead can never die, but in this case," he chuckles, "they really do rise again." He waves a bored hand. "Kill them all. Oriax can sort out which ones he wants later."

As the men pour from the town and more come from the hills, Pol shouts. "To the ships! Burn their damned hovels!" A man rushes the retreating knight. And his axe crashes into the reachman's leg, then splinters into a thousand pieces. Shaun smiles as he turns and his sword moves swiftly, a piercing chill sound coming as it skewers the raider. He smiles with all his white teeth. "Rise, my friend," he said. The raider, to the horror of all around him, spins about and crashes into his former friends.

Ragnar was shocked but he didn't hesitate. He snarled and drew Red Rain. He charged at Shaun, yelling "Die, demon!"

The knight chuckled and a wave of the dead men rush to Ragnar. Pol shouts out for a retreat as the ironborn slay two men to every one lost, but as the living die they simply rise and fight on. Shaun glances at the charging lord and smiles grimly. A hundred men have fallen already as the fight continues. Ragnar cuts down a half dozen in his fury but the wall of the dead is thick and he risks being isolated. "They are trying to take the ships!" A panicked shout erupts. More men are clambering onto the lightly defended vessels, another knight leading the boarding party. Pure chaos is ruling.
Pic: it takes a roll modified to 150 to engage redwyne this round. You can retreat on 125+. Take your pick!
