Any player comments welcome in this thread. What worked in 2, didn't work, what we need more and less of. My own list is as follows:
Pros:
-Lots of "oh shit" moments, decent NPC antagonist strength for the power of the PCs
-I'm not even discussing the Daxos
-World expanded a lot more than originally planned which led to some stuff I certainly wasn't expecting, more on that in cons
-PC-led war was uber bloody and satisfyingly brutal
Cons:
-I took too much on my plate and split the PCs up too much, partially due to the size of the world that opened up. It didn't encourage as much independent PC action as I hoped.
-I think there's still some ambiguity on what players can do with NPCs. Basic guidance can be summed up as, if you make one, you can do whatever with him/her.
-more to follow as players suggest stuff
---
Changes certain for Arc 3
-All PCs will advance to legendary in at least one stat, or gain extra special abilities in order to begin replacing admin NPCs in almost all circumstances. With how the world will change a lot of familiar faces will be...out of action.
-The action is going to be almost exclusively focused on Westeros and the edge of Essos on the Narrow Sea. PC cooperation is going to be essential for long term survival. I don't want it to be all hand holding and such, but against the armies of the damned even the biggest mortal quarrels can take a back seat.
-Site Council will be more empowered, with whoever I'm able to get given a rundown of a specific region that they can wield admin-level authorities in. This will lighten the burden on me as I get ready for my IRL baby.
-Players are going to be able to RP as famed and lesser NPCs if some players are being isolated by circumstance, and (big change) if the NPC is in a fight or something with the player and would qualify for bonuses the player will be able to take a percentage of their skill increases for their first.
-probably a shitload more, but I'm out of the ideas on top of my head.
Input please!
