Bitterbridge is the ancestral seat of House Caswell. It is situated where the Roseroad meets the Mander, and shares its name with the stone bridge it oversees. Bitterbridge sees a large amount of travel by both the land and river, and House Caswell has grown in wealth through the toll it extracts on travelers. The castle of Bitterbridge is stout but short. The lands surrounding it, like most on the Mander river, are among the most fertile in all of Westeros.
