"So you're going to meet them tomorrow?" She said. "Is there any chance it's a trap?"

"So you're going to meet them tomorrow?" She said. "Is there any chance it's a trap?" "Might be. Might not. And whichever one will tell us what they really value. The chance for control over another hundred men... Or gold and security."

"I see. Do you want me to send my guards along with you?" Morgan offered. "I've just found out something rather troubling about the situation, myself. Lady Hightower must be notified as soon as possible."

"I see. Do you want me to send my guards along with you?" Morgan offered. "I've just found out something rather troubling about the situation, myself. Lady Hightower must be notified as soon as possible." "Backup would not be remiss... Filling the tavern with our own men beforehand would certainly help. But high towers guards are too noticeable, need a third party who would be not be seen as players. What did you find out? He asked as they walked.

"My own men are unremarkable enough so long as they don't wear my father's sigil," she said. "It seems the Night's Watch is using the drug to affect the minds of men and persuade them to take the black. A most immoral practice, even for an organisation that is always in need of new recruits."

Allard was walking beside the two, having trailed until a minute after they left the inn, but within ear shot. "Interesting, why is the Night's Watch so desperate for men?"

Tim snorts "Nights Watch? If they were so desperate for men, how would they have so many dedicated people to distribute, make the drug, and ship it? How do you know it's them?" He was clearly doubtful.

"I spoke to a man who told me his son had taken the black and turned...strange. He claimed to be hunting the black brothers in revenge. Apparentnly there are recruiters in the city." But she frowned. "He could be lying, of course, but I think it's worth investigating."

"If the boy took the black, how does his father know he was acting strangely? He should be gone already. If he's still in the city, it may have just been people using black cloaks. It's not a uncommon color for people who won't want to be noticed. We shall see tomorrow. Though if it is the nights watch, this does not help me with the Citadel. That matter still needs to be addressed."

"Yes, it will be," she vowed. "I only know what I was told, but it seems less likely now that the Citadel is behind the drug, even if they have turned a blind eye to it, or are profiting from the trade."
She paused. "Look, I'm waiting to hear from a friend about matters related to the Citadel. If you handle this matter of the drug, my friend and I can prepare to deal with the Citadel."

Tim stared her down "Deal with them? I want in on it whenever you move. I may have a contact who'll tell me something, I'll pass that along as well. But in the end, the citadel is my real concern here.

"As you wish. My friend is currently looking for inside information. Truly, though, I don't know how much else I can help with this drug problem. I want to but the Citadel is my real concern too."

He studied her for the first time for real "why? What's a noblewoman to do with the maesters"

"You have your business with them, I have mine," she said firmly. "Do not press me on this matter. It is enough to know that our goals are aligned."

"Whatever you want. For now, I'd say until we can confirm either way with the nights watch or not," he says "we don't give Hightower a report unless she wants us to. She wanted us to handle things after all, she has other matters to deal with and it would help her little to bring suspicions. She already has enough of them." He rolls one arm as he goes along "Have to get ready for tomorrow. How many men do you have? I could see this going poorly very quickly, but we need to capture the higher up if we can."
