"So you kill them?" She asked. "But the Night's Watch are in the North, so why come to Oldtown" "I'm from Oldtown," he said. "Gotta clean up home first." "I see, but how many bkack brothers do you expect to find here, truly? A recruiting officer or two, mayhaos, that can be all." She fidgeted, it seemed this man knew nothing about her own concerns. She was about ready to give up.

"Dozens of 'em, my lady," he said. "They've been taking vows from all the people doing the Awakener. Controlling their minds." he said firmly.

The woman nods. "whiskey, then? Or.." she looks about. "Nightshade?" He pulled out a silver coin and winked,"I'm looking for a pick me up, not something to put me on the floor."

"Yea," he said. "Some magic dust they say." He shakes his head. "Just kills ta." "Gods be good. I've been hearing terrible things about the drug. So the Night's Watch is behind it. Because they want more recruits?" Morgan's face had paled at the revelation. "Lady Hightower must here of this, and the king. And the Starks too."

//
The man shrugs at Morgan. "No idear why they sell it, but that's the word on the street. Ain't seen them sell it with me own eyes but they are all sayin' the black brothers'r behind it."
///
The men nod. "Meet us behind the bar in ten minutes," they say.

The people you met, I mean. Truth be told, I am here to investigate the drug. Can you point me in the right direction, good ser? If you can do so, I will be happy to leave you in peace and to ensure that the highest authorities hear of this. If you're right, this makes a mockery of the Night's Watch and all it represents. It must be stopped."

The old man narrows his bushy eyebrows. "They been wandering all over town. You can find them if you look; the addicts chase them around like whipped dogs seeking their masters," he said. "And the nobles're in on the take, too, I betcha."

"And the nobles're in on the take, too, I betcha." "Perhaps. I'll have a look for black brothers," she vowed. "Will you testify against them before Lady Hightower, when the time comes?" She glanced over at her companions, trying to judge whether it was worth catching their eyes. She wanted to confer with them once she had finished speaking to the man.
