The interior is richly furnished and comes equipped with its own slave army of servants. Kaliah will have no trouble getting all the comforts of everywhere at this luxurious establishment.

Kaliah does in fact spend some time resting. She's still a Lyseni after all...so she keeps up with the act.
After a change of clothes Kaliah informs a servant to make ready a carriage for her.

A carriage is filled with snacks and drinks and sent to her house. The driver merely needs a destination.

She requests a tour of the city so she may observe what was going on. If the Volantene had an ambassador here she would visit with him/her.

The Volantene do. Myr is a gorgeous city of art and sculpture, but the woman sees thousands of foreign troops present, building fortifications and strengthening the garrisons throughout the city. The Volantene ambassador is ensconced in the garden of flowers near the hereditary leader of Myr's house, Vastos the Corpulent.

Kaliah makes a note of the buildup and tells her driver to make a stop at the Volantene ambassador's dwelling.

Bannen Orlys, junior triarch of Volantis, has his slaves greet her. He is short but powerfully built, missing a right eye, and he kisses the lady's hand gallantly. "My lady, what brings a Lysene flower to my door today? Surely the gods have blessed me."

She curtsies and hands off her hat to one of her escorts. "You are too kind my lord. It's rare a military man has charm as sharp as his sword."

Bannen smiles. "A triarch must have skill at both, it is true," he said. "Please, some ice wine? Rum? I was making a blood orange drink with sugar and plum wine, if you'd like." As he mixes whatever she wants, he continues. "How fares the great sister of Lys? Prince Lucian hurt us a bit at Dorne, but those were mere sellswords," he shrugged. "Not paying them was more a boon to us than a bane."

She asks for some ice wine. "There is still a wealth of celebrations for the Prince's marriage to Princess Arianna Targaryen. The woman is the most beautiful and kind woman I have ever seen and there is always talk that she is with child. She will be a pillar of Lys for a long time especially if she gives the Prince many strong heirs."
She nodded after he spoke. "It is as you say, the Prince hurt sell-sail fleets in Dorne. Volantis is strong as ever and so is Lys. A war between us would be silly wouldn't it?" She gave another youthful smile.

Bennen smiled a bit. "Siblings only squabble, they should never fight," he agreed. "The Ironborn, now, they are no relatives of ours." He leaned back as she receives her ice wine. It is sweet and thick and delicious, golden in color. "Please convey my personal congratulations to Prince Lucian and the new Princess, please."

"You're right." She saluted him with her drink, enjoying the taste and the cool feeling she got while holding the cup with her blue glove.
"I will of course send the prince and princess your regards." She relaxed in her chair but kept her mind on guard.
"It is Vhagus that controls them. First the Dothraki and now the Iron Born. The man truly loves to surround himself with savages that are easily influenced."

"A good kennel master can direct the fiercest ounds," Bannen agreed. "Which is why we are putting the wildest dogs down first. With the black dragon distracted out east the time to establish our dominancee is nigh." He finishes his glass. "Pentos is run by cowards and weak reeds, and Vhagus is the strongest wind to have been sent their way. But," he said, "even our enemies in Westeros loathe the raiders, and they have done their best to make themselves the enemies of every single kingdom there."

She nodded her head while listening to him talk. "And does 'we' include the Myrmen? My Prince has sent me to talk with both the Myrish and the Volantene. The Kingdom of the Three daughters once made even those with dragons fearful of their might. My prince believes it is time for such a grand alliance to be formed again."
