Killion paused for a moment, unnerved by the amount of information she seemed to have in this far corner of the world, as well as the cheerful tone with which she revealed it.
"Diplomacy is the duty of a prince, even one from hard lands, is it not?" he replied, with an amiable smile. "When I heard of a new dynasty in the dark of Sothyros, well I had to be the first to break bread and salt with its queen."

"Charming, too! It is quite a shame you're married. To a dragon, no less." She sighed. "But other than that and the rape and pillage, you are quite the catch." She still sounds almost eerily cheerful.

"Then you have a discerning eye." he replied with a cocksure grin, never one for modesty, though glanced around to the members of the Order that had accompanied him on the journey, curious if they had known the whole time. "Though I would argue the barbarism inherent in rape and pillage would be an even more alluring trait in these savage lands."

"Rising above barbarism is how the first men came to form civilization," the Queen said. "So long as chaos is the rule on Sothoryos, it shall never be a real place for people." The tiny queen hops from her oversized throne. "Name me three famous men or women from Sothoryos."

"And it is said the Ironmen are descended from the First Men, the same as those who hail from the North." he recalled from his lessons. "Our ancestors survived not due to the fire of civilization in their hearths like the Andals and Southron, but the fire of savagery in their hearts."
"As for famous men and women from this continent, I am no maester to recall famed named from distant lands. As far as I am aware, Sothoryos only has dead men and survivors."

"I meant the first men anywhere, now just Westeros, and there are none. Because there is no civilization, no hope, no language, only savagery." She turns and sits back on her throne. "Do you find out hatred of the dragons odd, Prince Killion?"

"Not in the slightest." he answered. "It is natural to hate those with more power than yourself and dragons are power incarnate. I will admit curiosity, as your vendetta seems a far more personal one."

"I see across the world," se says. "I can even read peoples' dreams. I shouldn't be able to," she said. "The dragons made it possible, a century ago." She wiggles a finger. "But a dragon died, and we get stronger. What does that tell you?" She asked.

"That for all your talk of civilization, you are as savage as the rest." he commended, flashing his sharkish smile despite the unnerving revelation of her abilities. "We climb to power over the bodies of weaker men. You make the climb upon the bones of dragons."

"No," she said quietly. "It means that there are more dragons. Maybe dozens more."

"Perhaps, though were that true, there are few that remain with the blood to tame them." he was hesitant with the reply, unsure where she was going with. "Though I fail to see how this explains your vendetta,"

"I came to this continent to save the world," she said. "I was betrayed and me and my men were left for dead. When we finally reached the coast and came through the jungle we thought killing Vhagus and his black dragon and the green would suffice. But every year his sorcery is more potent, but more unstable. His rituals are causing storms and earthquakes and more," she shrugs. "And he will become strong enough to bring in beings worse than him."

"And you expect me to believe a man who has world tirelessly to rule the world means to destroy it when the goal is finally in reach?" he inquired, skeptical. "I have been told much and seen little."

"It may not be intentional," she said. "But his hubris blinds him." She shrugs. "I don't expect you to believe me. Just watch and observe as neutrally as you can."

"There are few I don't look upon with a critical eye." he replied, leaving it unsure if he was speaking of her Order or of Vhagus. "So it seems I am at a disadvantage. You know much of me and I know little of you."
