A coastal castle, meant to guard the Boneway, which is a nearly impassable area in times of war.

The Western/Reach/northern force arrives at the stout castle. It is heavily defended, and Lord Daemon Wyl is known as a prickly and arrogant lord in his middle forties. Captured scouts report that Nalya Martell's younger daughter was moved to the keep not long ago to prevent the new Lord Yronwood from taking unnatural liberties with her.
Brynden frowns as he sees the castle, which is perched on a high cliff overlooking the sea, a beach town far below it. "Damned inpenetrable place, and we have Dayne's men all around us now, Benjen." He looks about "Storming it will be tough, and sieging it will strain us to the limit."

"I doubt Lord Wyl accept the same proposal that Jonarth Storm did," Benjen grunts, looking up at the big fortress. He frowns deeply.
"Our best option is to march north and try to meet Dayne outside Blackhaven. Hopefully we can engaged him from two sides, with Aaron attacking from the north. It'll be risky though, with Frances behind us, do doubt waiting to follow us."

Lord Bolton speaks up. "The Dornishmen know the land," he said. "If we meet Bryce he'll chooose the ground. Perhaps we can kill Frances."

Benjen studied Lord Bolton and nodded. "You're right. We don't need to take Wyl to march south and Frances' host is too big take shelter in Yronwood. If we come for him with a castle at his back I can see him standing and fighting."

A messenger exits the castle. Lord Wyl invites representatives into the castle to talk.

Lord Rowan follows them to represent the Goldlands. The castle has a fair sized hall for feasting, and the Lord Daemon is sitting at his seat. Benjen recognizes the former princess Layla Martell sitting at the table. She looks nervous but smiles at him. Daemon Wyl rises. He's a tall and thick man in his forties, prickly and noted for his collection of erotic northern art....a true niche collector. "Prince Benjen," he says. "Welcome to Dorne."

"Thank you, Lord Daemon," Benjen says with a courteous nod. "It's a shame I cannot be here under more peaceful conditions, alas."

"Indeed," he said. "But times, now, they can be more peaceful." He leans back in his seat.

Benjen sat as well, as did Ami, and the Prince studied the lord. "I agree, we shouldn't fight. I have no problem with Dorne or its people. I liked Princess Nalya."

"So did I," he admitted. "But unfortunately power has a habit of shifting faster than a listing ship. And hanging is much less painful than Frances Dayne getting on to you," he said. "Now I convinced the bastard he can trust me, so he sent Nalya's last child here because, well, his Lord Yronwood is a plain terror." He tapped his fingers together. "Mutual benefit comes to mind."

"As it happens I planned on marching south to finally bring Frances Dayne to justice," Benjen explained. "Though if he trusts you perhaps something can be worked out."

"Oh, no, kill the vicious son of a bitch." He pointed to Layla. "She's had a rough time, I fear. Time is short so I'll be plain. I want the Wyl family's station in life to improve measurably. How can you help me do that?"

Benjen thought on that for a moment then spoke. "If we defeat Bryce Dayne I will recommend to whoever rules Dorne that you be named Lord of the Marches. Do you have a son, Lord Daemon?"
