The city sits on a very deep harbor. Volantenes claim that the hundred isles of Braavos could be dropped into the harbor and disappear. Volantis spreads across the mouth of the Rhoyne and across the hills and marshes on both sides of the river.

The harbor is busier than busy as Tim and Janice sail within the last days' sail of the harbor. As Tim looks overboard, he sees a great grey shapre moving under the water. Even a whale isn't half so large.

"Aaargh!" Tim screamed jumping back. "There's something on the water?" He said, hugging Janice.

She looks down at the massive form. "What the helllll is that?" A sailor looks overboard.
"Leviathan!!!" The man runs off and the sailors take up battle stations, but the beast surfaces and lazily follows the sailing vessel. It is almost three times the length of the warship.

"Oh..." Tim was paralyzed, that thing was gargantuan, there was not much to do... He couldn't even use his flawless technique of running away, as you might have noticed, when you're are in the middle of the water, there are not many places for you to run to. That very moment, Tymothy discovered another phobia to be added to his list.
"Do something, Janice." He cried, the tone of despair was evident o his voice.

Everyone hides upon seeing the beast. It looks at them with casual disinterest before diving, suction from the beast descending creating a fair sized vortex. The ship spins and then the creature is gone.

A drop of sweat ran across Tim's forehead.
"Excuse me, my lady... I might be in need of exchanging my trousers." He bowed and clumsily made his way to the under decks.

"Guess we are here... Now what? Did Vhagus tell you anything? Because we, kind of, exchanged literally a bit more than a dozen words."

Janice nods. "We have a messsage for the TRYArks," she says in her irritating ignorance of which syllables to pronounce. "The Emperor seeks peace and I'm to be the offering." She laughs in a nasal tone. "Aren't they luck-ky?"

Tim smiled, at least he tried to hide it, but it probably was not possible, a couple days more in the sea with her and he might turn out breaking his no killing policy.
"They surely are, my lady." He bit his lower lips. "But now, let's talk about something. People from Volantis are culturally very different from most, so it'd be better if you kept your mouth closed during our meeting... You see, so they won't be disturbed by your... unique personality." He forced a smiled.

"Yowwwr r-eye-t!" she said. "I can't speak a single word of Volantereneese." She snorts as she laughs. "But I will soon enough!"

"Yes yes... But please do not even try to communicate in whatever language you speak." He said, cleaning his outfit. "We'll go in and out, try to solve this as fast as possible. Alright?"

"Gawwwt it," she says. The ship enters the massive delta harbor. Ships from everywhere can be seen, including dozens of powerful warships. Looks like a fleet built to conquer the world.

"Well... I must admit, when in Volantis do like a Volantene. The emperor surely wouldn't mind if we used some of his money to hire some of these elephant karts to drive us to the Triarchs." Tim let out a a nervous cough, he had really been interested in the animals and you know, when dealing with these people you had to put up a little scene.
