Benjen followed his sister to her chambers. "It is good to have you back, sister. I've missed you dearly, even when you were safe at Sunspear."

Meera is sipping on a glass of water and reading when he enters. "Why thank you Ben! I missed you too." She shrugs. "Albeit more so in the last five months or so."

"Understandable," Benjen said, laying a hand gently on her shoulder before sitting down. "The dornish lady that came with you, Isabel Uller; She appears very protective over Princess Nina."

"She's rather dangerous," Meera said. "An interesting woman. Mercurial, too." She arches an eyebrow. "I do hope you haven't caught Dornish fever. She is quite aggressive, I imagine."

Benjen chuckles. "She is interesting indeed, but I am merely curious to see if Nina is in good hands. How are you finding Eddard's Rest? It's been a while."

"Cold," she chuckled. "But not as cold as Storm's End in winter. Isabel will be fine for Nina...or me, if my husband ever returns." She shivers unconsciously. "It isn't the same, now, home. For women we have to learn to adapt."

Benjen nodded. "I can understand, Meera. I dearly hope that your husband is still alive; not just so that Dorne can rally to him but so you may be happy as well."

"Of course," Benjen responded. "Thought first we have to take out all of his allies. Only then can we face the man himself."

"That could be difficult," she said. "He has made it abundantly clear what he does to hostages if their families oppose him." She swallowed. "I've seen it."

"I never said it was easy," Benjen replied. "I am not about to let Bryce Dayne simply rule half of the southern continent with an iron fist. I would have expected you to desire a fight against the man."

"i have no desire for you to die," she said simply. "And if you fight that man...you'll die." She shivers. "He's not a man, Benjen. He's some vengeful god sent to punish us."

"I have been close to death many times, Meera; I will not let the possibility of it stop me from ending the reign of a man like Bryce Dayne," Benjen responded. "The fewer people stand up to him the more powerful he becomes."

Meera nods unhappily at that. "He can speak to the dead," she said. "Actually summon their ghosts up and talk to them. It's...terrifying. I think they are scared of him, not the other way around."
