Formed of three navies, the Iron Fleet, Saim's galleon force, and Admiral Karellian's navy sail in the Stepstones near the great city. Getting to their quarry requires proximity to the weakened Free City, and the threat of conflict is quite high. Hundreds of ships form the great force.

Two days' sail west of the city, the scouts signal a convoy. Sixty ships, heading north. Flags indicate Braavos, but further Ironborn-only signals indicate they seem ripe with plunder.

Uhtred observes this dourly, then sends out his own scouts for the journey, as they needed the practice and with a fleet of such size commanders were prone to arrogance. He'd pass the word on of the Braavosian ships, but he'd rather talk than fight here. They'd need the men for the fight ahead, not to piss of a world superpower.

Rumors of the Volantene fleet abound, but supposedly they are currently farther west, having conquered Stanniston. No reliable numbers are available.

The Prince had set Admiral Karellian in charge of the fleet on the sea. If it came to land battle, the Great Leader himself would lead a fight. But that was unlikely for a long time. Instead he busied himself with making sure to be seen amongst his soldiers and gave them words of courage and promise of plunder. Position wise, his ship was in close proximity to the Admirals.
With his looking glass he kept an eye on the ships around him and ahead.

Killion signaled to the Braavosi fleet that he wished a word, approaching with a flag of peace raised and at a speed that gave no indication he desired a fight. He had no quarrel with the Braavosi and little to gain from war with them.

The fleet is a merchant convoy. The captain who treats with Killion is portly but still somewhat fit. His translator asks, "Hail to you, Iron man."

"Fair winds to you, Braavosi." Killion replied in kind. "From where do you sail?"

"Meereen. We have been treating with the Targaryens for trade and such," he said. "And yourselves?"

(Scouting 70) Pickles the Reaver stands to the side of the with his manhood out and taking a piss off the side of the boat laughing as the mist off his urine comes up and unknowingly hits another crew member under the guise of sea water. After he is done he pointedly calls out to one of the Lysene ships and helicopters for a few seconds before shoving his own pickle down his trousers laughing at himself at the expense of the guys on the ship from Lys.

The Lysene who saw this thought it was perhaps a bizarre Iron Born mating ritual. Either way, it only confirmed their view of Iron Born being crazy fucks.

The man shrugs. "King Sirius smashed a khalasar sent against him, with that dragon of his. Tensions are starting up between him and the Ghiscari again, though, long while that alliance lasted."

"Well, if your hulls aren't too full, we should still have some plundered casks of Arbor Red to sell at discount, per our agreement with your Sealord." he offered, nodding at the information given. "Though I'd be wary of the Volantene Fleet in the Stepstones if your cargo is valuable."

"Old Volantis is smarter than that," the man said. "They have Pentos to deal with. Sadly, I know of no Sealord agreement, we have been gone a long time."
